This word has been widely used in the wrong context due to its Variable meanings in the Greek and Hebrew.
so for Clarity I must break this down.
in the old testament which was written in Hebrew the word Hypocrite was
khaw naphe which meant soiled ( with Sin) Or Impious ( no reverence for God!
And is found mostley in the book of JOB.
And This use of the Word has wrongly been associated with the use of Hypocrite in the New Testament.
Which was written in Greek and the word has a totaly different meaning.
for in the Greek Hoop-ok-ree-tace
has two meanings.
An Actor under an assumed character!
A dissembler : A Pearson who professes beliefs and opinions that he or she does not hold in order to conceal his or her real feelings or motives.
Which was mostly used by Jesus Christ for of the 21 times its used 18 were by Jesus.
