Who experienced New Beginnings in the wood?

I'm at the beginning of the series pasta Mark talked about Peter. We often see Peter as someone who was already confident a little bit Brash a little bit full of himself.

well in spite of all of that provider Peter denied Jesus and he fell and pasta McQueen on and talked about the new beginning that Jesus gave Peter and how he empowered him through the Holy Spirit to become the leader of the Church of Acts.

Did I I want to look at someone who was at the other end of the spectrum? someone who was

quite opposite to Peyton

and his response highlighted how God helped his servant or become feelings of inadequacy. A lack of confidence or country that you know what the icons that we get.

And in a word he responded in unbelief to God's Cole Now is really interested in Karen's and prophecy today because she was talking about people who have had a wood in the past and it's falling to the ground and God is saying it's time to pick that up its charm. Come on make it Out chords with you. I'm one of the things some of the things that stop us from taking out the cold of God are the very things that Harga talked about NAS Point shame guilt failure that can be fear that can be all of those negativities that can stop us from picking out. What code is code is today. Recently, I meant I read The Magnificat The Magnificat is excuse me. Mary song that she sang about herself after she became pregnant through the Holy Spirit and when she was talking to Elizabeth. And in that song she said my soul exalts the Lord and my spirit has rejoiced in God my savior for he has regarded The Humble state of response live Toby Howard from this time on Generations will call me blessed for the mighty one has done great things for me. Now I know is it that two little bit like, you know, it's old-fashioned language. But I wonder if I came up to you and said you know what? Generations it going to say what's a good things about me? They going to say I'm blessed by God, you know it now or is he coach I would probably want to put that person down a peg or two. Hey, you reckon sounds a bit like that. But when you look at Mary she was giving God glory. She was acknowledged eating what God was going to do through her and she had probably a very good understanding of who she was in God. Annette de papal is way God wants each and everyone of us to be a man.

Okay, I'm over the page.

Rudyard sorry Mary's decoration came from that sense of security in who she was in God and who God was for her. She absolutely trusted him in a situation which really could have led to her being stoned.

Hey, you know it's times you get pregnant out of wedlock man. You are going to stunt if not stoned at least shunned by Society put away made to go into an Exon.

And yet in spite of that Mary was really confident. In God and in call on her life. Okay, sorry last week. I can also said that the two new beginnings implies that we take off something or there's an end to something and she related that to putting off at past guilt and shame. Guilt shame and find you need to be released so that we can receive in Your Vision that God has for us. I'm going to be sharing about a man who indeed had to put off shame guilt and failure and also fear incredible fear fear of his life.

God dealt with this man's float or density and his lack of confidence in the face of an extremely challenging called now, if you've ever received a call from God, I can't Nu it'll be Big 5 bigger than you could fulfill because that's the nature of God. If he gave us something that wasn't bigger than ask selves we just run off and we do it in our iron capacity. But the nature of God is that he wants us to depend wholly and solely on him and on his ability not on our ability. Sorry for some of you those prophecies that Karen was talking about today. Big. Big stuff and night the challenge of it can make house shrink back because it is so big. We need to know who our God is for us.

We often judge ourselves, but by what we have done in the past and time. Or by what people have said about us? Tisha was talking about that today forget about the things of people upset about you this week worship. God worship God. Inglewood sorry the trust if my message today is about a personal identity that question who am I? Who am I? And we sing it in the first chorus this morning because that you and I are a child of God. What does that mean? What does that mean when the rub is hitting the road and you're having a really bad day and things are going pear-shaped. What do you believe about yourself? What do you believe about yourself? What yourself talk? What are the thoughts going through your mind?

Does it just mean that you've been saved by grace? Yeah, sure. We've all been saved by grace. But it's more than that being his child Mason. We can take a hold of so many promises in his word the teachers who we are and what we have in him. in a relationship with God But if we're honest with ourselves off and we align out thinking more without floor estimation of who we are rather than in who God says we are. I want us to listen to a song right now, which articulates these really well. Thanks Anita.

To the message of that song is like in God we find out identity.

I think in the past that we've heard teaching that we need to change so much. It's sometimes we're afraid that we going to lose our identity if we follow God. The theology around God wants to kill you. Is any part of the story? Yes, God wants to take over control of your life. He wants you to surrender his life your life to him. He wants you to do with your attitudes and you will and so on. But he's a loving father and in him we find out true identity. We find the freedom to be who we really are. Without any fear of being rejected or also two things. In that song we heard the words. I believe the words you say about me and I believe You have every failure and you have every victory.

When I fall short god holds me. the beautiful thoughts that we can think about

when are Jonathan long? You say I am yours. If God is for us who can be against us?

Today is or bad acknowledging what we believe about as soon as and changing our Focus for male Senza black and unbelief to a new focus on who God is enough to do that. I want to share some insights from Exodus chapter 3 the code of Moses. A man who had dramatic New Beginnings during his life's journey, but who found the coal into service particularly challenging? I don't think we can identify with that. The conversation between God and Moses must be very important for us to learn from because the account is really to a child.

Am I just was born a Hebrew during the time of their captivity in Egypt the Egyptian pharaoh had become alarmed at how many Hebrew people were in his Nation? He was concerned that they might rally together and form an army to overthrow Egypt. But at the same time I really wanted these Haber slaves because I was building his kingdom. That would be building up. He's in pain.

Sorry Farrah decided that he was going to do a bit of population control. He told the midwives to kill the male babies as they were being born at The Midwives speed God and of course I refused to do it. So when Farah realize that that wasn't going to work he told the Egyptians to drown the baby boys.

There was a couple who defied pharaoh. I hit that little song for 3 months. Honey, one day his mom covered him up and placed him in a basket and floated the basket down the Nile niami where Pharaoh's daughter based on a daily basis the baby sister watch drawing. You know the story of how he was rescued by Pharaoh's daughter and consequently, he was brought up in the court of pharaoh. This was the first new beginning in Moses life. Play you might be able to grow up as an Egyptian in Pharaoh's Court. But for Moses, you couldn't take the Hebrew out of the baby out of the man. And one day he saw as he when he was growing up. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew slave and it's so incensed him that he he made him and killed him.

The next time I was just pawns to Hebrews fighting and questions them their response was who made you judge over us. Are you intending to kill me as you killed the Egyptians? Then Moses became very frightened because the matchup was known. Pharaoh tried to put him to death and if he had been found this would have been his his end. So Moses had to escape for his very life, and he fled to what the word Coast the backside of the desert. a place called medium and in that place he became a shepherd of his father-in-law's shape. It's a posh place.

I know it won't be in there.

So often though, we accept the consequences of our mistakes and we played because we deserve and let that is going to be a lot in life, but then God comes along. And interrupts airplanes God had much more for Moses and he has much more for you and for me. In the meantime back in Egypt the sons of Israel were crying out to God because of their bondage and the harsh treatment. They were receiving at Farrah's hand. And God heard a crime. And so often it's the nature of God to take each of us back to the place of a failure and to bring a victory out of it. The wedding also have 54:17 says no weapon formed against you will prosper and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn this is the heritage of the Servants of the Lord and a Vindication is from May. So it's no surprise to you and I the God chose to deliver them the Hebrews by man who had also been so incensed by the Injustice done to resign people that they responded In the Flesh and killed man. In Exodus chapter 3 we find Moses pasturing. He's block of shape in the desert. Now I've had the privilege of traveling traveling to Mount Horeb, which is the Mountain of God. And I'll continue it's a Wilderness we talk about Wilderness here. We don't know about witness to we go there. It is. Just dry Limestone. There's very little water The Rock slippery. It's tape. I'm trying to walk up Mount Sinai on people actually died trying to do that. It is really challenging. And it was in this very Wilderness that Moses attention was captured by the angel of the Lord who appeared as a burning bush. But the Bush was not consumed by the flames.

And I'll continue that even today there's a burning bush at the monastery of Saint Catherine's at the foot of Mount Horeb as a reminder to pilgrims of the incident at the burning bush is played by unnatural means, but it does serve to remind us of Moses encounter. The Moses marveled at the site and got cold to him from the midst of the bush. Am I just received a very significant and huge Cole from this encounter with God the changed his life. It turned his life completely upside down. And all the accounts of Moses up to this point in Exodus. There's nothing about his relationship with God so it could well have been the first encounter that Moses had with God in this pie. big scary

Moses wanted to know who it was who was speaking to him. God told him he was the god of the generations of Abraham Isaac and Jacob and for a Hebrew that had credence. Moses responded like so many who encountered God in in a coal. He went and hid

I want a hard.

How often do we hide from God but if we called to do something that is so big and out there. It seems impossible it God is the god of the impossible and many people have a cold humanly speaking is impossible. There are many things that can cause has to be afraid of God and to stop us from moving towards him. When God spoke to Moses, it wasn't to bring guilt or shame or bring up the past. It was too cold him to service. God explained to Moses that he had seen the Affliction of the Hebrews in Egypt now that would have resonated with Moses hot. It's amazing how God took him right back to the very place of his failure to give him a new beginning. I wonder if it was because God saw the tape and most of the date of motive in Moses hat that he had that sense of Injustice. He had that sense of compassion for his people and he wanted to do something about it. He cared for the oppression and affliction of the Hebrew slaves just as goateed.

Am I just responded with three questions? And the first one was who am I? Who am I that I should go to Faroe? And then I should bring the sons of Israel out of Egypt and Moses was familiar with the particles and the quota Farah. I remember that after the Moses head killed Egyptian pharaoh tried to kill him. So that God is asking him to go back to the very Man Who Sold his life? He would be returning as a Hebrew not as an Egyptian.

How often does God ask us to face a few is so that we get the victory over them. Responded to Moses sang. Certainly. I will be with you. And a sign that I will be with you way that you do and the sons of Israel worship me at the Mountain of God at the base of Mount Horeb. But there was a bit to happen before that would happen. The second question Moses asked was what shall I say to the Israelites when they asked me what is the name of the one who sings You and God replied? I am who I am.

What an amazing thing to say? I am who I am to see God's not going to no identity crisis. I'm just God I am who I am.

Yes. Do you see how this is all about identity golden age to give Moses a demonstration of his power God declared who he was. Once again, the god of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. He also told Moses to tell the Elders of Israel that I am sent him to them. Golden calf Moses instructions to tell the elders about his concern for them God's concern for them and what has been done to them by the Egyptians. Carozza had some rather disturbing use for Moses. And that was that mirror that Pharaoh would not let them go easily. He would only let them go under compulsion. So God pull punches. He told Moses this time. It's going to be difficult Moses because fair is not going to let these people go easily.

Again, Moses asked God what if I don't believe me see how he's Focus was all about himself. These questions demonstrate that Moses was looking at himself and he's already a bility or lack thereof in the face of the tiles. God sent him to turn. This is a very human and common response to God's challenge. We asked the question, who am I and we look for what we look at what could happen negatively rather than based on the provision of what God can do through us and for us Moses response is based on the premise that I have to have the talent. I have to have the ability. I have to have everything that is needed to do the job that God has given me it's tasks and sell Focus pentalogy rather than face that if God calls me, he will provide everything. I need to fulfill a cold. Many many years ago. I had a cold and I was like Moses and I didn't take the cold up and what I needed to do for myself was to prove that I had the ability to do what go ahead ask me to do. So I said about doing a lot of things. I made a lot of decisions that helped me that I thought would help me understand who I was with shot the people the capacity that I had folks. That's a completely wrong response. But it's the sort of response that you get from Moses. God is looking for a fight response. He's looking for us to say as long as you're with me Lord.

Sorry, what did God do? phimosis

grocery spoons to Moses was to ask him to throw down the stuff that he had in his hand. Now stop is like a shepherd's Crook and Moses was actually looking after you shape, you know the Baba talk. Sorry God told him to throw down the stuff and the stuff became a snake And then God told Moses to pick the snake up by the tail. I don't think I'll ever pick up a snake by the child because that means they hate sprayed about bought me.

Sorry, I just did he picked up a snake pretty brave, but then the snake turned back into the stuff but the stuff then had a different Authority. We thought it was an authority that God had turned something into something else. He'd given Moses authority to be a paper a ship to people he changed it in that miracle. The other thing that he told Moses to do was to put his hand on his chest into his bosom. Puma hand out. The hand was leprous. And then God told him to put his hand back in and it came out whole you said God was putting these Miracles before Moses to build up his faith to build up his faith that God was with him.

We are Karen and I went to know Monday. I went out to he a person speak and they said this thing this the same you might see Mary to speak Miracles don't have the capacity to love you back. Honey gold has that capacity? I need God has that capacity to love you. It's or back on not a bad what he was doing.

Yep.

7/3 question. Sorry it sorry that was Miracles and and God went on and said to Moses if that doesn't work, then I'll get you to take some water from the Nile and it will turn to blood so God was really encouraging Moses that they would be miracles on the way but that they would be Miracles that God would perform true him. Does that question was more of a statement Moses said I'm not eloquent. I'm slow of speech and this is coming from a man who had all the top education in in Egypt.

I think we've heard it said he Raven that most people Fear public speaking more than I fear death. It's really high up there. Moses was not an exception. And God was getting a little bit itchy with Moses at this time due to his own belief and he provided Moses with a solution. He said I'm going to send your brother Aaron with you and he will speak for you. Moses would be like God to Aaron he would tell Aaron everything that God had told him and Aaron would be his spokesperson.

And even in this, you know, God was acting out of his Mercy because he's he was restoring Moses to his unnatural family to his brother and I don't want of course to his sister and he also had a companion in the task. Moses in the end reluctantly decided to do what God had told him to do. And then he went back to his father-in-law Jethro and he said to him. I need to go back to Egypt and Jethro released him. That was a confirmation. Sometimes you Nicole we need to go and we need to find somebody we need to tell them about the coal. We need to tell him about the changes in in the life that the cold is going to bring and hopefully that person will encourage them in that.

confirmation really important Bingo dolcerie showed Moses that all those who was taking his life had died. In other words. It was safe for him to go to Egypt. He wasn't really going to be facing this.

I guess when we look at Moses and the story of Moses, this is just one part of it. But later on we hear about Moses having such an amazing relationship with God that his face Shone it Shone. So brightly that people couldn't bear to look at him and he used to go round with a vile to cover his face because of the the brightness of it. Sir from this fearful Omar Street band is very reluctant later turned into an amazing man of God. We still honor, you know, I've often heard it in some Pentecostal circles that Moses did Joshua has come in dead people. He still speaks when we read about Moses. He still speaks. He speaks to us. He speaks to us about who we even going. So I'm going to ask the band if I would like to come up.

please

I want to ask you a few questions today and God's already sit the same. Have has God asked you to do something that you believe is impossible.

maybe you have pulled back because it seems too hot. I believe that God wants to encourage you to die to pick up. Pick up that that calling.

I saw something on Facebook this morning as I was some. getting ready for church and it was a cartoon and it was a door and all the door was a k and next to the door was this man and it said if you think that it's too late for your cold think again. Caleb received a call and 45 years later. He walked into it. God still got it chords to college God still got it for you. And I believe today he wants to he wants to impart courage. He wants to help us take off a fluid identity and to receive who he is in us that we have precious that we are his child that there's nothing that is going to come against us that mango account do with together. So I'm going to ask you today as the band sings that song. Who do you say I am. If you would like to have some prayer.

Tom Ford would love to pray for you. We love to see that impartation of Courage.
