Let’s be prepared to meet our purpose
Mission: Connect with love, impact with service, restore through Christ
Vision: Transformation through all inclusive Love
At the start of this year we began talking about our purpose as God’s Church
The leadership team recently adopted a purpose or mission statement for the church
Not only are we to reach out to the lost and bring them to Christ, be we are to help those new believers grow in their relationship with Christ
Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.

The word used in the KJV for "build each other up" is the word "edify"
dictionary: instruct or improve (someone) morally or intellectually.
In Paul gives us some guidelines as to how we might edify one another and build each other up
Hebrews 10:19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.
23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.
24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.
And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.
For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
