Same language
These are things that we are to put aside.
These are things that should not characterize the life of the Christian.
All of of it.
Instead
like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,
new born babies- is not an accidental term.
We are new borns.
We have been born again into the family.
Just as it is a natural thing for the new born baby to be hungry and long for milk, so too the new born Christian is to long for the nourishment that comes from the Word of God.
The baby is growing and as he or she grows, they will need more and more milk.
Same is true for the believer.
You are to long for the pure milk of the word.
pure- not dirty
The Word- not man’s word.
The pure milk of the word.
Eager to Learn
if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.
You will desire this if you have tasted of his kindness.
If you have been saved you will want this.
