God’s Salvation Through Proclamation
God’s Salvation Through Proclamation
God never left man without the hope of salvation.
God never left man without the hope of salvation.
From the beginning of man’s fall into sin until the coming Messiah God proclaimed man’s eventual salvation.
15 And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”
15 “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your brothers—it is to him you shall listen—
Dt
18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers. And I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I command him. 19 And whoever will not listen to my words that he shall speak in my name, I myself will require it of him.
6 But I am a worm and not a man, scorned by mankind and despised by the people. 7 All who see me mock me; they make mouths at me; they wag their heads; 8 “He trusts in the Lord; let him deliver him; let him rescue him, for he delights in him!”
4 Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.
5 “Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, and he shall reign as king and deal wisely, and shall execute justice and righteousness in the land. 6 In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell securely. And this is the name by which he will be called: ‘The Lord is our righteousness.’
2 But you, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, who are too little to be among the clans of Judah, from you shall come forth for me one who is to be ruler in Israel, whose coming forth is from of old, from ancient days.
26 And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed.
10 “And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of grace and pleas for mercy, so that, when they look on me, on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a firstborn.
Micah 5:

At no point in time did God ever leave the world of sinful men without the hope of salvation.
Over and over again God’s proclamation could be clearly heard by those that were listening.
God’s Salvation Through Procreation
God’s Salvation Through Procreation
The Messiah came born of woman.
The Messiah came born of woman.
When the “fullness of time” came Jesus was conceived in a virgin’s womb by the Spirit.
18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit.
35 And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God.
Lk
This isn’t to suggest Jesus was created, He wasn’t, it simply is pointing to the moment God became flesh.
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
Now I want us to consider this amazing reality for a moment.
The salvation of man, the Messiah, was now here on earth but not as one “coming down from on high with shouts trumpets” not as one “bursting on the scene with “fanfare and bluster” but as a child born naturally by woman.
As one needing human’s (mom & dad) help to survive and live.

The comic book universe is full of “super heroes” from Superman to Spiderman to Thor and everything in between.
One thing none of them have is a super hero that starts out as god and chooses to become man also for the purpose of saving man.
Mankind’s wisdom is not like God’s and falls short every time.
When we invent super heroes we don’t see this great wisdom but God did.
Salvation for man could only come from God that became man in order that the “man Christ Jesus” could be our advocate to God the Father.
20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe. 22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom, 23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

God’s Salvation Through Production
God’s Salvation Through Production
Jesus became Lord & Savior through His production.
Jesus became Lord & Savior through His production.
When Jesus had fully increased in wisdom, stature and favor with God and man () He began His ministry at about 30 years old ().
In about three and a half years Jesus accomplished a lot for our salvation.
Jesus proved He was from God and God Himself over and over.
31 If I alone bear witness about myself, my testimony is not true. 32 There is another who bears witness about me, and I know that the testimony that he bears about me is true.
36 But the testimony that I have is greater than that of John. For the works that the Father has given me to accomplish, the very works that I am doing, bear witness about me that the Father has sent me. 37 And the Father who sent me has himself borne witness about me. His voice you have never heard, his form you have never seen,
Jn 5:31
Jn 5:36
Jesus was tempted in every way we are today but was sinless.
15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.
5 You know that he appeared in order to take away sins, and in him there is no sin.
Jesus was persecuted in every way and in the ultimate way of death so we are without excuse.
20 Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours.
Jn 15:
24 If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.’
Jn 15:
2 For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.
36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”
1 Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,

God’s salvation through the production of the Messiah allows us all the hope of eternity in heaven wherein God dwells.
As Peter would put it, the death, burial, and resurrection made Jesus our hope as both Lord and Christ.
36 Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified.”
Conclusion
Conclusion
When ran toward sin and held on, God proclaimed a path toward salvation through a Messiah.
That Messiah was born not as man would have though in his foolishness but through God’s great wisdom.
When that Messiah, Jesus, finished His work here on earth He created salvation, a hope in eternity with God forever.
Next week we are going to examine that eternal hope salvation made possible through...
God’s proclamation, procreation, and production.
Invitation
1 Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save, or his ear dull, that it cannot hear; 2 but your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.
6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7 but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
