Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
We Begin with Relationships!
We Prioritize God’s Presence & Power!
Basically,
WE NEED GOD…
…& GOD’S PROVISION []
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.
Mat 6.
Keep falsehood and deceitful words far from me. Give me neither poverty nor wealth; feed me with the food I need. Otherwise, I might have too much and deny you, saying, “Who is the Lord?” or I might have nothing and steal, profaning the name of my God.
pROVERBS 30
We may well be blessed to be a blessing to someone else. We can be the answer to someone else’s prayer in their time of need.
…& GOD’S PARDON []
“For if you forgive others their offenses, your heavenly Father will forgive you as well. But if you don’t forgive others, your Father will not forgive your offenses.
Mat 6.
Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.
We need to get real. Drop the judgment…& shock…& incredulity. Drop the fear…& pride.
…& GOD’S PROTECTION[]
No temptation has come upon you except what is common to humanity. But God is faithful; he will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation he will also provide a way out so that you may be able to bear it.
text
I am not praying that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one.
John
We are all susceptible & vulnerable to our enemy’s attacks. We are not bullet proof in the arena of temptation and sin. Only God...
Text
We can be praying for our church family in this way, even in our private prayer life. When we pray like this together, we should be moved to cry our “me too” when another one of prays for God’s Provision, Pardon, or Protection. We also must be praying this for each other (“even” for the ones who you might find difficult to love).
Give us each day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, for we ourselves also forgive everyone in debt to us. And do not bring us into temptation.”
