Grow The Kingdom

Last week we looked at personal growth and how we should be producing spiritual fruit on an individual level. We learned what kind fruit we should and should not bear as Christians.
Works of the flesh

adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Fruit of the Spirit

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control.

This week I want to look at another type of fruit that we should be producing and that is the fruit of souls. Lets look at where we ended last week:
Proverbs 11:30 NKJV
30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life, And he who wins souls is wise.
How fruitful are you at winning the lost?
Do you tell others about your savior, or your relationship with Him?
Do you invite the unchurched to church?
Most Christians fail at winning the lost because they only invite other saved folks to church.
If this couple comes to our church we could have revival. Or, if that couple comes to our church they will help us grow, etc.....
Winning the lost isn’t as pleasant, because the lost are dirty and messed up and they’re to hard to deal with.
If that couple comes to our church they will help us grow, etc.....
Matthew 23:15 NKJV
15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.
We’ve all been called to grow the Kingdom
Matthew 28:18–20 NKJV
18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
Where do we stand on the Great Commission?
We can’t make disciples if we never win the lost.
We will never win the lost setting in our fancy sanctuary’s. We have to Go into all the world.
When is the last time you went out of your way to evangelize someone?
We need to quit inviting members of other churches hoping that they will join our church and we need to start winning the folks that swore they’d never darken the threshold of the church doors.
What are we winning the lost for?
Matthew 23:15 NKJV
15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.
What Kind of Fruit are your bearing?
Matthew 7:15–20 NKJV
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? 17 Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 Therefore by their fruits you will know them.
Matthew 23:15 NKJV
15 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel land and sea to win one proselyte, and when he is won, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourselves.

Vision Casting
This year will be a year of growth
Personally and Corporately
Spiritaully
Physically
Numerically
We will focus our efforts on the communities that most have written off as hopeless
We will feed the hungry
We will cloth the naked
We will visit the sick and those in prison.
Busing people to church.
Help those without transportation get to to necessary appointments and grocery stores.
Train less fortunate families how to be good stewards of there resources and to be self dependent.
Sounds like a lot…maybe even too much but what if we could achieve all this plus some
The key is that We can’t do all this alone.
It takes Teamwork
Psalm 133 NKJV
A Song of Ascents. Of David. 1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brethren to dwell together in unity! 2 It is like the precious oil upon the head, Running down on the beard, The beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments. 3 It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing— Life forevermore.
Evangelism
Psalm 133
We need to get connected to the Vine
John 15:5 NKJV
5 “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.
Fishers of Men
Matthew 4:19 NKJV
19 Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Matthew4:
Sometimes a fish will get off the line or break the line just before reaching the boat.
Just keep fishing
If you want God to use you to win souls would you come to these altars today?
