Scripture:
Philippians 2:12-13
Philippians 2:14-15
Philippians 2:16-18
Introduction: Paul wrote to the church at Philippi while he was in prison at Rome, because the they were going through many persecution.
Philippians 2:12-13
When we think of work out, most of us think about exercising, that is not what Paul meant. it meant exercising your spirit; we are being called to exercise salvation through how we interact with others, through prayer, in this age where everything is about ourselves God wants us to think about others.
this is done with an attitude of awe and respect towards God, remembering that it is God in us that is enabling us V13
Philippians 2:
2 P
How often have we grumble against God because things dont turn out exactly or on time the way we thought it should.
Don’t get into argument about things that don’t edify or build up the church.
Politics, designs etc. Don’t get caught up in the things of this world your light has to shine.
Philippians 2:16-18
Paul spoke of being proud of what he though the church, even while he was in prison.
Conclusion: The same way we work to build our bodies, God wants us to build our Spirit, which will build up our relationship with others and God.
