1) How Strong are you?
2) What is the most powerful think you can think of?
3) How powerful is God? How do we Know?
We – say God is all powerful and the Bible teaches us about how powerful God is, but how do you know he is all powerful. We might be really strong or know someone really strong but what do we do when strong isn’t strong enough?
ILL - Kids camp story...
T.S. - Tell the story of those following Jesus and knowing what to do because he had been right there...
Bible -
Acts 2:1–4 NLT
On the day of Pentecost all the believers were meeting together in one place. Suddenly, there was a sound from heaven like the roaring of a mighty windstorm, and it filled the house where they were sitting. Then, what looked like flames or tongues of fire appeared and settled on each of them. And everyone present was filled with the Holy Spirit and began speaking in other languages, as the Holy Spirit gave them this ability.
Learning what to say and how to say something from someone else but then they are gone...
P: Kids will learn that the Baptism in The Holy Spirit is a sign of God in powering them.
You – can know that God has given you power to stand up for what is right and not be scared. God gave his Spirit and the sign was speaking in other tongues. Can speak in other tongues and know that God’s Spirit is with you today as well.
We – are going to take time to spend time praying and having a chance to speak in other tongues to know that God has placed his power on us so we can tell the (world) about him.
PRAYER - God I am here and making myself ready to be filled with your Spirit.
If you don’t speak in other tongues today remember that do not mean you aren’t a follower of Jesus or that God isn’t with you!
