Introduction

In any realm longevity is something that is heralded and appreciated. When we think of any realm whether it be corporate America, professional sports or the spiritual realm longevity is very important and revered. When I think of success in the church I am reminded of constantly bearing in mind you work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ in the presence of our God and Father. When you get frustrated remember God chose you. Be encouraged, your work in faith is remembering that God sent you. This is the work of God, that you believe in Him who He has sent”. Often times we do not realize what God is preparing us for until he sends to the place he’s been preparing us for.
As you work for God continue to remember that love should be the spring board. There are a lot of reasons you have made it to year 5 but the biggest reason is love. In 15 years when we celebrate year 20, It will be because the love of God got us there.

Free The People

Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you on knowledge and understanding.
God does not send a voice inspired by Him to keep you in a stagnant place mentally and spiritually. The live of the disciple is about growth. Keep freeing the people. Free them from the bondage of sin, free them from refusing to forgive one another.
Meanwhile understand that captivity is not excuse to remain stagnant. What God does is he acknowledges our stagnation he acknowledges our missteps he sends a voice to free the people. God sends a voice of reason based on need, it was an obligation for the people of God to return from their rebellious ways. God promised
Not only does God put you in the right place, but he puts the right people around you to ensure that his will be done. He even acknowledges our stagnation and he acknowledges our missteps and he sends a voice to free the people.
Free the people from sin
Free the people from revenge
Free the people from the bondage of the oppressor
Ministry, love, hope and faith become stronger when we prioritize God. Despite the idol worship, despite the rebellion and the sin. Despite the treacherous nature of their separation, God’s love wanted his kingdom to be sustained and unified. When we prioritize God and commit to the collective mission and vision of the church in a mature and independent way, he will send a voice that will encourage us in our deepest and darkest times of need.
God wants to pardon us, but we have to make a conscious decision to return to him.
What good is a voice that will free the people if we are comfortable in bondage.
What good is a voice that will free the people if we are comfortable in sin.
Lives must change, hearts must be restored, minds must be strengthened. God promises to pardon us, but we have to make a conscious decision to return to him. The sermon can be amazing, the praise can worship can lift the roof off of this building but if there is no commitment to God, worship become a temporary routine and feeling of freedom that we truly aren’t seeking.
Once we learn who God is, and return to him, “then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will feed you knowledge and understanding”
God sends a voice that unifies people from various backgrounds, “And I will take you from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion”.
When God unifies people, when he sends that voice then the real work begins. In verse 16, “It shall be in those days when you are multiplied and increased in the land”, declares the Lord. God will bless a remnant of his people from various backgrounds, various families and God will free the people to enlarge the territory and be a better blessing for those in need.
Now it’s no longer a routine, it’s not longer just a rite of passage it is a spiritual allegiance to God that is etched in our heart. The prophets refused to accept division, Jeremiah the voice that freed the people that led to Zion. It was bigger than the ark of the covenant they no longer need a reminder because it is inscribed in their heart. Now people know that we put God first because of our actions, not a check in on Facebook. Now people know we put God first because of our freedom to love our enemies, Now people know we put God first because of our endeavoring to stick together! Thank God I’m free, thank God that I see the mercy and the grace that is worked in my life so I no longer want to be separate but I want to share this freedom in Christ Jesus.
Praise God for the voice of freedom that reminds me of who God is. Praise God for the voice of freedom that gives me strength to lean on when weeks get long and months get tough, thank God that when I’ve strayed away and rebelled there is a voice of freedom that will guide me safely home into the loving arms of Jesus. Praise God for the voice of freedom that lets me know that I don’t have to live like I used to. Praise God...
