A young matron, shopping, asked a butcher the -price of hamburger steak.
“Seventy-nine cents a pound,” he replied.
“But at the corner store it is only fifty cents,” said the customer.
“Well, why didn’t you buy it there?”
“Because they haven’t any.”
“Oh, I see,” said the butcher. “When I don’t have it I sell it for forty cents a pound.”
