Teaching (from the Greek word didache):

Jesus' teaching was the basis for the Rule of Faith

Jesus taught in a way that challenged the norm; Jesus authority

Matthew 7:28 ESV

And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching,

Jesus warned about the current teachings of the Pharisees and Sadducees

Matthew 16:12 ESV

Then they understood that he did not tell them to beware of the leaven of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Matthew 22:33 ESV

And when the crowd heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.

Relating a power over the Spiritual realm with his authority in Teaching

He taught in Stories; Stories teach through the imagination (Heart, Spirit)

Jesus often warned of the bad teahcing of the leaders.

The Possesion of authority was seen in his teachings

Luke 4:32 ESV

and they were astonished at his teaching, for his word possessed authority.

Jesus' Teaching was from God | Foundation of who can discern Jesus or good teaching

John 7:16–17 ESV

I Must Hold Firm to the Trustworth Word Taught

Titus 1:9 ESV

He must hold firm to the trustworthy word as taught, so that he may be able to give instruction in sound doctrine and also to rebuke those who contradict it.

For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.

Acts 11:26 ESV

Purpose of teaching to attain the unity of the faith and the knowledge of the sone of God, maturity in the fullness of Christ.

Ephesians 4:11–16 ESV

And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.

2 Timothy 4:14 ESV

Jude 3 ESV

Beloved, although I was very eager to write to you about our common salvation, I found it necessary to write appealing to you to contend for the faith that was once for all delivered to the saints.

Have mercy on the doubters tand save them by snatching them out of the fire.

Jude 17–23 ESV

But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. They said to you, “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. But you, beloved, building yourselves up in your most holy faith and praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by snatching them out of the fire; to others show mercy with fear, hating even the garment stained by the flesh.
