When it comes to the "spiritual gifts" an unspoken but often practiced maxim is: "Don't do at all what some do poorly." Un-biblical practices in the use of some of the spiritual gifts have at times discouraged the use of the gifts or even their consideration as God-given tools designed to encourage growth in Christ's church. This morning we consider the implications and the impact of identifying even well-intentioned misuse of spiritual gifts as abuse.
