19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
9 Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 11 Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
1 cor 6.9-
I don’t know about you but I can spot myself in several of these sins.
Years ago before I got saved I was among the worst of sinners. I still am. I am constantly struggling with the sin that besets me, to use Paul’s phrase. I can relate to the apostle Paul when he states that the things that he wants to do that are righteous he does not do, but the things that he doesn’t want to do that are sinful are the things he does. But like Paul says in “O wretched man that I am! Who will save me from this body of death? I thank God—through Jesus Christ our Lord!
When I look at this laundry list of sins that will keep a person out of the kingdom of God I can see where I have missed the mark of God’s righteousness on so many occasions. And I say all this to say that I am not judging anyone. For God has already done it. We are all sinners in need of a savior to save us from the mighty wrath of God who sends sinners to hell.
The good news is that God sent His only Begotten Son into the world to live a perfect, sinless life so that he could give his life for the sinners of the world so that we through Him, Christ, we might be saved.

Hell is a very real place. Jesus preached about hell more than any other topic. You can say, “Well I don’t believe hell exists” and that is okay. Just not believing in something doesn’t make it any less true. According to the Bible hell is an indescribably horrible place of torment that was originally designed for the devil and his angels. But when Adam and Eve sinned and evil entered the world with sin, hell became not just a place of torment for Satan, but also for sinners as well. It is God’s wrath and justice that sends sinners there.
But God loved us, and did not desire that anyone should go there and so He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever would believe in him would not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (). says that, “God demonstrates his own love toward us , in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
Friends, let me encourage you. If you have not confessed Jesus Christ as Lord of your life and believed in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, please do it now. Don’t wait. Now is the time of your salvation. Tomorrow may be too late. Not one of is guaranteed our next breath. our next heartbeat. Admit to yourself that you are indeed a sinner who needs a savior. Until you become convinced of your sinful nature you will not come to Jesus asking forgiveness. The apostle John was speaking to Christians when he said, “If we confess our sins, He, God, is faithful to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness ().” But the same holds true for sinners coming to Christ for salvation. It is not complicated, like some people and religions try to make it.
Coming to Christ to be saved is not complicated, like some people make it. in , Paul writes, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ..For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Oh, to be sure there is much to living the Christians life, but this is where it starts. This is the first step. Would you take that first step today?

No one gets to heaven on their own merit. “For it is by Grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast” (). That is the good news. Please take the first step today. Accept God’s free gift to you.
