This testimony led to Potiphar treating Joseph with favor as Joseph continued to serve him (Faithfulness of Joseph)
This testimony lead to Joseph receiving more responsibility and authority

Joseph’s refusal
His faithfulness gave him his masters complete trust
His faithfulness rewarded him with a high position but also came with restrictions
Potiphar gave him access to all his property but withheld his wife (she was not his property) from him

Temptation can attack and appeal to us to sin every day
Sin will look for the perfect opportunity
It will catch us going about our daily duties
It will become even more aggressive when we resist

Joseph’s refusal to sin and right decision to flee was rewarded a false accusation
Sin resisted will seek to retaliate
Joseph’s rejection brought hurt and anger to her and the desire to get even
She was deceptively wise in her made-up story
She implied Potiphar was partially to blame
She used cultural and ethnic prejudices
She said he was mocking her
Potiphar’s anger lead to a hasty and unwise response
