Introduction
The anchor leg is the final position in a relay race.
Typically, the anchor leg of a relay is given to the fastest or most experienced competitor on a team.
The athlete completing the anchor leg of a relay is responsible for making up ground on the race-leader or preserving the lead already secured by their teammates.[1]
An anchor leg is typically part of a running relay, but may also be part of swimming, skiing or skating relays.

Leave room for his grace, Leave room for his power, his intervention.
As we pass the batons and accept those batons there are going to be some issues that just will not be solved.
Some dilemma that will not have an earthly justifiable answer.
Leave Room for the Anchor
Im leaving room for the anchor because he can:
Eph 3.20
Text Verse
exodus 14.
We Cant Solve the problems, Change situations or circumstance, or win our own battles.
We must kneel in prayer and stand to see what God will do.
We have to leave room for the anchor, staying calm and giving Him time to work.
True Wisdom says in time of difficulty, perplexity, and uncertainty wait on the Lord He will assuredly open a way.
Marriages and Friendships being restored, Healing taking, addictions being broken, Forgiveness being extended.
Jesus knows what I am going to face in the next few minutes, few hours and for the rest of my life here.
Why not sit with Him while He prepares my heart and my soul for the strength and responses I will require?
Why not let my Father in heaven fill every part of my earthy body before I take my first sip of coffee?
II.
Allow the anchor to strengthen your faith for the Future with experience.
Faith, is finding and claiming the promises of God in every situation.
Being fully persuaded that God had the power to do what He has promised
The Christian man ought to be of a courageous spirit, in order that he may glorify the Lord by enduring trials in an heroic manner.

If he be fearful and fainthearted, it will dishonour his God.
Besides, what a bad example it is.
This disease of doubtfulness and discouragement is an epidemic which soon spreads amongst the Lord’s flock

Faith grows when we choose to apply God’s promises to today’s problems.
We gain experience and maturity for the challenges that will lie ahead.
Moreover, labour is light to a man of cheerful spirit; and success waits upon cheerfulness.
The man who toils, rejoicing in his God, believing with all his heart, has success guaranteed.
He who sows in hope shall reap in joy; therefore, dear reader, “be thou strong, and very courageous.”
III.
Trust God(Anchor) to Deliver in his own unique way.
Elijah’s departure demonstrated the power and mystery of God.
It was foreknown by Elisha and the groups of prophets at Bethel and Jericho (3, 5) and finally occurred in a way which defies a clear description (11).
Elisha’s request for a double portion of Elijah’s spirit (9) reflects the inheritance-right of a firstborn son (Dt.
21:17), and we may see a connection between this and Elisha addressing Elijah as his father (12).
It amounts to a formal request that he might be heir to Elijah’s ministry.
The condition which Elijah imposed (10) probably involved Elisha understanding his departure rather than simply witnessing it.
Elisha’s cry, ‘the chariots and horsemen of Israel’ (12), showed that he perceived Elijah to be the true might and protection of God’s people.
He tore his clothes as a sign of mourning at the people’s loss.
When Elisha approached the Jordan and it divided for him as it had done for Elijah, the event confirmed that the spirit active in Elijah now rested on him.
The prophets from Jericho therefore acknowledged him as their new master (15).
However, they had not understood Elijah’s departure as well as Elisha, for they insisted on searching for him.
Elisha knew this to be useless (16–18).
We need somebody with a soul that transcends the plight of human existence, yet who understands that plight and can rescue us from it.
That’s why Jesus is the only reliable Anchor for my soul.
The last runner doesn’t have to be team’s fastest but they need to be a gutsy runner.
If the opportunity arises, the last runner needs to be mentally capable of chasing and catching a competitor, or holding on if someone is catching them.
