God's Armor: The How

Ephesians 6:14–17 ESV

14 Stand therefore, having fastened on the belt of truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, 15 and, as shoes for your feet, having put on the readiness given by the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; 17 and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,

Eph 6:

belt of sincerity of motivation

search your heart with God

vs: search my heart o God

repent

vs: creat in me a clean heart; renew right spirit

breastplate of just action as God sees it

learn from God what is right

Psalm 143:10 ESV

when devil attacks your hope of salvation through circumstances pray

vs: be anxious for nothing; guard heart & mind

vs: neither height, depth, etc. can keep u frm love of God

a kind of co-wielding where H.S. partners with us

i. we are empowered by him (remember acts 1:8)

ii. & then submit to his leading & promptings

When the devil attacks via people & governments the Spirit will help

vs: spirit is ur helper

vs: spirit will remind u what to say

when devil attacks via temptations know your bible

spend time w/the spirit while reading God’s word

wield God’s word empowered by the spirit

Jesus as an example when in wilderness

remember that Jesus was “driven in2 wilderness”
