Intro: Sometimes we search for things and we know what we are searching for. Keys, glasses.
Have every searched for something, knowing that you needed something, but wasn’t sure what you needed, found something, but later it wasn’t what you needed?
Have ever been yard sale shopping? Not really knowing what you were looking, then finding just what you needed?

There a lot of people today that are in need. Not talking about food, or a place to live. A need much greater then that.

Intro:
People was are hurting that need healing. People who depressed that need some joy in their lives. People who are living a life with no direction that need some guidance.
So, there are a lot of people searching. But the problems is people go the wrong source . Watch Dr. Phil. Read some self help books. That may make someone feel better, but its not the cure.
Some people even go to church to try to feel better. That why some of big church with the great bands, light, and even smoke, and the music. Its a feel good service. “Come feel good about yourself”
The only true way, is Jesus.
27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

Jesus had just healed the man with the withered hand. Elab the Pharisees
a. They had a lot of religion, but no relationship. They not no compassion. Elab
b. They had no joy. It seems they didn’t want anyone else to have any either.

They conspire with the Herodians.
Herodians: Not another religious group.
a. The were a political party that supported Herod. The only thing they had in common was they wanted to get hid of Jesus.
b. As people are searching, and we as followers of Jesus should be leading them to Him, Satan will use people, and everything else He can to keep them form Him.
Easter is a great time to tell people about Jesus. But the Easter bunny has taken over.
Christmas, the time we celebrate the birth Jesus, it has become about everything but Jesus.

8 and from Jerusalem, and from Idumea, and beyond the Jordan, and the vicinity of Tyre and Sidon, a great number of people heard of all that He was doing and came to Him.
Jesus withdrew himself. He knew their plan was kill him, so He left town.
a. He didn’t run and hid, it was time to move on. Time for a change.
b. A great number of people followed him. From different places and different walks of life.
c. Why dd so many people go out of their way to get to Jesus?
“When they heard what great things he did, and came to Him”
d. Jesus popularity was a challenge. He left the city because the Pharisees were plotting to kill him. They hated him, they wanted to turn others against him. This made some of the people fearful of them.
19 and questioned them, saying, “Is this your son, who you say was born blind? Then how does he now see?”
20 His parents answered them and said, “We know that this is our son, and that he was born blind;
21 but how he now sees, we do not know; or who opened his eyes, we do not know. Ask him; he is of age, he will speak for himself.”
22 His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews; for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone confessed Him to be Christ, he was to be put out of the synagogue.
John 9:
2. There may be people today that are fearful of what others will think.
a. We as believers are called to share our faith with others, those that are searching. Tell them what the Lord had done for you.

b.There may be a time to back off, but always leave the door open.
d. Just as there were many that were searching in the day of Jesus, there are may that are searching today. Searching for peace, joy, answers.
e. Through Jesus, they they can have peace, joy, a life that is not prefect, but a life that is changed.
