Glad you’re here, what are you hoping we will do tonight?
WRONG! We came together tonight to spend the next ? hours in the word of God! We’re gonna preach, sing songs, and pray till daybreak

And there were many lights in the upper chamber, where they were gathered together. And there sat in a window a certain young man named Eutychus, being fallen into a deep sleep: and as Paul was long preaching, he sunk down with sleep, and fell down from the third loft, and was taken up dead.

Paul preached so long a guy fell asleep :)
How many of you have ever felt that we have spoken too long and you haev fallen asleep? Be honest. Sure, we’ve all had moments.
did you notice what wasn’t said? It didn’t say that everyone fell asleep? It said that ONE guy fell asleep.
Paul preached from “day” to midnight and one guy fell asleep.
Why do you think that the rest of the group didn’t fall asleep?
Expect great things
Expect great things
They came knowing that this was a unique opportunity
Paul wasn’t around every day. They were about to hear from God and they wanted to know what God said more than they needed sleep.
They came expecting something and they Got it.
What did you expect tonight?
Hanging out, friendships, food, games, tiredness.
Who came expecting to hear from God?
Eutychus wasn’t able to stay awake and he fell.... and he died.
But the rest expected great things
Without looking, What happens next?
Get Great things

They expected something Great from God and He did not dissappoint.
Paul ran down to Eutychus and took him up and God revived him!

The people came expecting to hear from God and the DID!

Because they had tasted the goodness of God, they weren’t satisfied with a little, they wanted some more.
I wanted some thin mints bad last night… So I went to the store and got some. I took out 5 and put the pack aside.. I ate the 5 and they were soooo good, i got 5 more. and again, and again… and I ate the whole box. I couldn’t get enough!
They expected good, they got some good and They wanted all of it!
What do you expect from the CREW?
