Matthew 5:27–28 NKJV

27 “You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

1 John 3:15 NKJV

15 Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.

Galatians 5:22–23 NKJV

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

This:

Builds faith in the truth and reliability of the Bible

Forces people to turn to Jesus to save them and change them

Gives people an idea of what they’re committing to, and what their new life should be like after they get saved.

Explains Hell is a graceful and loving way that makes total sense

If you think it’s His Blood that gets you to heaven, there’s nothing for you to do!  No faith!

If you think He paid your fine, then why live for Him?  He’s already paid it!

Other methods put the emphasis on forgiveness, and not on being cleansed and made right now. Forgiveness is necessary and hope-giving, but is mostly focused on Hell, and not on living for God now.

Talk about proof the Bible is true!  The world would be perfect without the things the Bible identifies as problems.

Sin is the cause of all problems and Jesus came to cleanse us and give us the power to quit sinning.
