Good Morning, its good to see everyone this morning, let me begin y saying how grateful I am to everyone who reached out to me and extended their condolences for my family with the loss of my grandmother.
It has been a rough week but also a joyful week as we have spent time remembering her.
I was able to be by her side and that meant a great deal to me, so thank you for caring enough to send a text or even call.
On a lighter note I recieved a message this week about how I messed up last week in my sermon.
This lady messaged me and told me I messed up on the sermon last week, and I said why is that?
She told me that I lied to her daughter I said how did I lie to your daughter?
She said when they got home she asked their daughter to clean their room and the daughter said you heard that preacher he said the most important thing was to love God a clean house doesnt matter.
LOL
I’d like to refine that, you show God you love Him by obeying Him and He said honor your mamma and daddy so you better clean up lol.
Lets get started turn in your Bibles with me this morning to and in just a moment we will read at verse 13.
46 years ago in 1973 the Supreme court of the United States ruled in Roe verses Wade that a woman has the right to abort her unborn child.
Since that day, around 40 million unborn babies have been killed via legal abortion.
Over 2,000 unborn babies are killed everyday by abortion in america.
Does the Bible have anything to say as it pertains to abortion?
The answer is yes.
Now listen I know there are children in the room this is a difficult sunbject I am not going to be overly graphic so dont fear that.
But were in a series of messages called the church needs Godly people.
Were talking based on a text out of where the Psalmist cried out
the Billy Grahams seem to be gone, the Godly men and women seem to be dying off.
The faithful seem to be dissapearing in America, so what do we need to do?
We need to replace those people by becoming Godly people.
What are Godly people like?
Well you can give alot of different answers to that, but Godly people love God and godly people love to pray, this morning GODLY PEOPLE LOVE HUMAN LIFE.
Psalm 139:13-
Let’s just walk through this and have a little talk.
The first thing I would like to say to you about Godly people loving human life is this
God created the Universe and the Earth.
We believe the Bible, we believe every word of the Bible.
We believe the very first verse of the Bible.
Genesis 1:1
How many of you believe that?
We believe that the one and only Soverign God the god and Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ created everything and even the universe.
We believe God spoke and everything came into existence.
We believe that God created everything from absolutely nothing.
I heard one preacher say:
“He took nothing, made it everything, hung it onto nothing and told it to stay there”
We do not believe that the universe is the result of big bang, unless you believe like I do that God spoke and bang it happened.
Instead we believe the Bible that god created the universe from atoms to solar systems.
The Bible clearly states throughout the word of God that God created everything.
We read in
Nehemiah 9
The prophet Isaiah said this:
When the apostle Paul was preaching to the most intelligent men of his day in Athens Greece, there on Mars Hill at a place called the Areopegus there he said these words
and then the writer of Hebrews said this:
This is the foundation for believing in the sanctity of human life.
God created the universe and the Earth.
The second thing I want to point out this morning is not only that god created the Heavens and the Earth.
God Created Life
After God created the universe god created life.
Life did not mysteriously evolve from no life.
Organic life did not mysteriously evolve from inorganic life.
This is the biggest stretch that anyone can believe.
To believe that there was this mass of goo and then out of that became organic life.
They tell us that we have to have faith, how can a living cell come from a rock?
I’ve looked at the suggestions and they are not something you wanna put your faith in.
Its always “well its over billions of years” Thats all wrong.
god is the author of all life.
Let me give you an illustration of evolution.
What would you say if I told you that AMy and I were out walking anf we came up on a vacant lot covered with building materials.
Wood and brick all stacked in bundles as someone prepared to build a house, and then as we were walking there was a massive explosion and when we looked back the house was built and ready to live in?
You’d think I was nuts wouldn’t you?
Yet this is what Evolutionists believe.
First He created plant life
Genesis 1:11-12
First came plant life then came animal life.
Genesis 1:20-22
Genesis 1:20-
Animal life and human life are different, mankind did not evolve from lower forms of animal life.
Man is not a species of animal.
Animals are inferior to mankind.
Life did not randomly happen by chance, no life has one author Almighty God.
All life comes from God all life is found in God.
God created life.
God Created Human Life.
While all life is significant not all life is equally significant.
human life is more important than all plant life and all animal life.
The apex of life is Human life.
We were made in the image and likeness of God and animals were not.
In we see the first 6 days of creation but in chapter 2 we see something else, We see God focusing on the 6th day of creation.
On day 6 God created the first man and the first woman.
Genesis 1:26-
Notice He created us in His image, notice He created us male and female.
He made males to be males and females to be females.
He did not create males to be females, He did not create females to be males.
Gender is determined at conception not by human choice.
shows us the 6 days of creation but chapter 2 zooms in on Gods most precious creation of all.
Mankind.
The first man Adam did not evolve from a monkey, or a lower form of life.
Instead He was created by God from the dust of the ground.
God breathed the breath of life into Adam.
Adam the first man became a living soul.
Notice Adam was not a body with a soul, Adam was a soul with a body.
God puts the emphasis on the spiritual not the physical.
No wonder Jesus would say in
Then after He had made the first man god made the first woman
Genesis 2:18-
Then one of the most important verses in all of the Bible concerning marriage.
This clears up all the confusion that we have in the 21st century concerning same sex attraction and marriage.
It shows that Gods intentions for sexuality in marriage.
