To be a burning shining light is to be with strong feeling or passion being clear, obvious and distinguished or eminent Passion for God’s work, passion for Souls Can you look back into 2018 and identify tangible service and impact you made for the kingdom, 2018 is gone, by gone is by gone, this is 2019 Before you can be a burning shining light, a vessel in the hand of God their must have burden for souls There is a new commission, and if it must be archive, there must be new consecration, hear the gospel truth, when you keep doing what you have been doing, that is, you keep praying the you prayed in 2018, you keep coming late to church the way you did in 2018, you keep pursuing worldly are canal pleasure and riches you continue to get the same result. Conditions in becoming a burning shining light 1. There must be fruit meet for repentance, you must be born again (2 Cor 2:17, Matt 3:7) 2. Must be rooted in God (Isaiah 37:31) 3. Abide (John 15:2-6) 4. You must be serious minded with the things of God, you don’t come to church the way you like, the time you like, if you must be used by God you must stop Facebooking and Whatsapping and all acts of disrespect in the present of God, can you imagine doing such in the presence of the Governor, common HOD of your department you keep absolute silent in His presence, why do we see all of this in, if at all we must be used we must change, you will change IJN. 5. You must understand your God given talent and ministry in the body of Christ, you must not argue with God when he say’s ‘no’ this is not your calling as exemplified in the life of David 6. To be a burning shining light you must be radical for God, you must possess deeper passion for him more ordinary church goers, brothers and sisters the battles ahead of us is great, the challenges are enormous, these battles are more than what grammar’s can confront, therefore we cannot but seek the power of God, we need to pray afresh, be filled and be refill afresh. It will take the operation of the spirits before you can be able to stand. What is why God says it is in this last day that his spirit will be given to all men. There is a new commission and if this commission must be achieve there must be a new consecration You must understand your God given ministry and understand when God says no, as he said to David regarding building the temple. • You don’t have what you need because you don’t possess faith to profess it. You can’t possess what you can’t profess, as long as you cannot see it with the eyes of faith and say it, it will never come to manifestation The reason you are like this is because of the way you handle things last year, it is because of the way you respond to challenges, places you’ve been going, this is because of your priorities except this change you cannot expect a better result than what you already have. (2 Tim 2:21) When you keep doing what you have been doing you will keep getting the same result. If you must be a burning shining light, if you must be used by God to rain down revival, then you must be one that reverence God, You must be one that take God as He is. How do you see God, what reverence and honor do you give him? How serious do you take his word when trouble is away? What mindset do you have toward him? How early do you come to church? What difference do you have with rascals out their? What decision do you take when colleagues in the office agreed on evil and are coming for your signature? What impact are you making in the place you are living? What is the level of your zeal towards the master’s work? Are you only a prayer warrior when there is trouble and things are not going right? When you don’t pray, you become a puppet in the face of little challenges, you become powerless and cannot be able resist temptation. Because Peter couldn’t pray in verse 38 he also couldn’t conquer in verse 67 of Mark 14 It is a thing of pity that some of us believe that Challenges don’t stand the taste of time, we mostly assume that problems could solve themselves with time, that is absolutely wrong, listen when problems tackled and solve at the instance they come, they get worster with time, Ask Jacob, he understand more, some of us will be saying ‘’weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning’’ Listen and listen well, weeping will continue to continue in the morning, afternoon and evening if nothing is done about it. You must wrestle in prayers. What am I saying in essence, there are powers you can’t conquer We become fools today by mistaken assumptions with faith, what is faith, faith is having proof and evidence even when there is no manifestation, you don’t proclaim a thing and go on sleeping all night and expect it to come to pass, No everyone, Elijah proclaim rain, and he went with his face between his nee until he had the evidence, he refuse to be discourage, Brethren there exist no friendship between holiness and hypocrisy, if you say you are genuinely born again, proof it, if you say you love God, proof it, if you say you filled with the holy ghost, proof it, if you say you are committed proof it. Confirmation when obedient Mark 16:20 Let’s rise up and go to the Lord in prayer The deceit of the enemy to us is that you ok like this, that you should be satisfied with your achievements even with the coldness the lookwurmness, prayerlessness and all forms of spiritual decay in you, today you must break away from such this evening, this is the last day of Jan 2019, Jan has gone and cannot be recovered tii eternity, what can you hold on to and say this what I have done so far, if we must progress, we must change. It does not matter your past glory, neither your accomplishment in the past, it is the present Always remember until you rise, there are people who will not rise on their feet, until you shine there are people that will not walk out of their darkness, until you are empowered the captives that are committed to your calling will not be delivered, you need the holy ghost, if you think that the holy spirit is for a selected few there are people that will curse your memory in hell, because there are people you will meet that I will never meet them in life, and their deliverance and salvation have been committed to your calling. Therefor you need the holy ghost why don’t ask of it this evening.
