- My Secret

What is the “Secret Place” - Seter - nuance
First- Secret- a place of refuge to dwell in, but a secret, private arena. Womb...
Second- Veil- a covering. Why do we need covering?
Protects us from what’s out there.
Protects out there from us…
“Don’t let your right hand know what your left hand is doing”
This is one of those things. At your core, where do you dwell in secret?
Then we see the list of benefits:
protection, victory, rescue, honor, long life and satisfaction, salvation.
These are great benefits. How do you get them?
Not by seeking them. By seeking HIm.
Everybody wants these things; There is a PROBLEM.
Modern thinking- left brained.
Left brained- everything myst make sense and have logical order. Systematic thinking. The term systematic theology- tells us something.
Right Brained- less concrete. Creative. The means may be more important than the means. It’s about the journey, not just the destination.
God is both obviously.
What if God already has everything figured out, and He is just doing all of this for experience and relationship?
Think about it. Does God need religion? Does He sometimes do things out of romance, not logic?
I often use this illustration, but God bringing the animals before Adam as companions...
Appearing to the disciples on the road after the resurrection, disguising Himself.
Appearing “Bam” to the scared disciples in the upper room.
Showing Himself to Peter after Peter’s denial.
Lazarus- Weeping, waiting days to get there.
Apostle Jon sleeping on his breast.
