Why did you start a company?
We started a business for three primary reasons:
The first is for practical reasons.
The company is providing our visas for entering and staying in Central Asia.
Secondly, and more importantly, the company provides legitimacy for our being Westerners living in Central Asia.
Thirdly, and most importantly, building a business gives us an avenue to build relationships in a variety of spheres, invest in the community in practical ways, and potentially provide job opportunities in the future.
What is the company?
We have started an engineering consultancy that focuses on water resources, environment, agriculture, and natural resources which will utilize the 15 years of experience I have in the water resources and environment sector.
The company is registered in Australia with a branch office in Kazakhstan.
How does the company relate to your missions work?
Our company joins a growing movement within missions called “Business as Mission” which seeks to use the natural opportunities provided by the everyday human need to work and earn a living to create opportunities for the Gospel message and especially in locations where other more traditions forms of missions are not possible or welcomed, like Central Asia.
If you can earn money through the company, why do you need financial partners?
