God sent His Grace in the form of His Son Jesus Christ.

First I would like to give honor to God and Jesus Christ my Lord and saviour. I would like to give honor to the set man of the house and to other ministers of the Gospel. I want to start off by saying to the family I’m sorry for your loss, but this is not a loss because Laetha Mae Flowers y trustedJesus Christ as your Lord and saviour that even though Mrs Flowers is no longer here with us it’s not the end but the beginning. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
God sent His Grace in the form of His Son Jesus Christ.
I would first like to give honor to God and Jesus Christ my Lord and savior and Holy Spirt. I would like to give honor to the set man of the house and to other ministers of the Gospel, it is an honor to be asked by the family to help us celebrate the life of Letha Mae Flowers nnnnww. I want to start off by saying to the family I’m sorry for your loss, but this is not a loss because Leatha Mae Flowers trusted Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior and she is resting in the bosom of her Lord and savior Jesus Christ, even though Mrs. Flowers is no longer here with us it’s not the end but the beginning.
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. Letha Mae is at peace For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. Amen
I first meet Letha Mae in the summer of 1975 it was during tobacco harvesting season and my brother and my cousin told me about these girls they meet working in the tobacco fields in Seven Springs, so after a lot of talking to Brenda for me I finally get the chance to go out to the house to meet everyone. When I drove up in the yard the first thing, I remember seeing was that white 1964 Chevy Impala, I’m a car guy and my eyes were fixated on that white Impala until she Mrs. Flowers got out of the car. At the time I didn’t pay much attention to who I came to see because Mrs. Flowers had long beautiful black hair and she was short and bow legged, and high cheek bones just like I liked them, I’m thinking now I got me an Indian girl. My cousin and I formally introduced ourselves and she invited us into her home, as my cousin and I got to know Brenda and Linda Mrs. Flower went to the kitchen to cook dinner and invited us to stay and eat and if you know me, I didn’t turn down food. When Mr. Flowers got home, we sat down at the table to a big pot of corn, country, and biscuits needless to say that was the best corn I had ever eaten, when it was all said and done, I think my cousin and I ate half of a 20-quart pot of corn I was hooked after that.
A few years later Brenda and I got married and about a year later we had our first child Ke Ke and she was Leatha Mae’s first grandchild and we bumped heads over her because she was a loving grandmother and wanted to spend every minute with her new grandbaby as possible. I remember getting off the 4-12 shift and it was about 1am and Letha Mae, Linda and Diane was at my house and I did’nt say much when I walk in, I was tired and ready to go to bed and Letha Mae asked me Do I come over here too much and politely said yes Mam, needless to say she give me a little and it was on again she was back on her regular visits, in over 40 years that is as close as we came to a disagreement.
She loved me as if I were her own son and she treaded me that way. Leatha Mae or Boone as most people called her loved her children to no end, she would do anything for all of them and when she was married, she was a good wife. The Bible speaks of women such as Leatha Mae and Proverbs calls her a noble or virtuous woman and it reads as follows.
(NIV) 10 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. 11 Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. 12 She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. 13 She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands. 14 She is like the merchant ships, bringing her food from afar. 15 She gets up while it is still dark; she provides food for her family and portions for her servant girls. 16 She considers a field and buys it; out of her earnings she plants a vineyard. 17 She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks. 18 She sees that her trading is profitable, and her lamp does not go out at night. 19 In her hand she holds the distaff and grasps the spindle with her fingers. 20 She opens her arms to the poor and extends her hands to the needy. 21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household; for all of them are clothed in scarlet. 22 She makes coverings for her bed; she is clothed in fine linen and purple. 23 Her husband is respected at the city gate, where he takes his seat among the elders of the land. 24 She makes linen garments and sells them, and supplies the merchants with sashes. 25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. 26 She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. 27 She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. 28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 29 "Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all." 30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. 31 Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.
This is the kinda Leatha Mae was she took care of Alton, Brenda, Linda, and Diane she sent them to school dressed so nice the other girls at Southern Wayne were Jealous and gave them the nic name Charley’s Angles. As the years past Brenda and had three more children, Linda had two and Diane had one and her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She would crochet blankets, hats, and bootys for all of , I still have a blanket she crocheted for me many years ago and I cherish it even more today.
Letha Mae, Boone, sister, auntie, grandma or whatever you called her was a giving soul, she would feed you or share with you whatever she had to help whoever she could, God says He loves a cheerful giver and it does not have to be just money it could in word and deed, and sometime if she did have money to give she could crochet you something or speak a kind word.
In 1985 shortly after I gave my life to the Lord, Leatha Mae and I had a discussion about (NIV) 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. This was our second disagreement, we could not agree on what works meant, but what we did agree on is we are saved by Grace through Faith and we did not or could not earn salvation.
