GOD’S TIME

My Stewardship

God’s goal for us – CHRISTLIKENESS

If we are going to be like Christ we must be good time managers.

“I glorified You on the earth, (HOW?) having accomplished the work you have given me to do.” (John 17:4NASB95)

Ten Biblical reasons for using time wisely

1.  The Bible teaches that we must use time wisely “Because the days are ____________”

“Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5:15-16, NASB95)

2.  The Bible teaches us that wise use of your time is preparation for __________________

“And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment,” (Hebrews 9:27, NASB95)

3.  The Bible teaches us that time is _________________

“Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.” (James 4:14, NASB95)

See also Job 14:1; Psalm 89:47

4.  The Bible teaches that time is ______________________

“The world is passing away... “(1 John 2:17a, NASB95)

5.  The Bible teaches us that the time remaining is ________________

“Do not boast about tomorrow, For you do not know what a day may bring forth.” (Proverbs 27:1, NASB95)

6.  The Bible teaches that time lost cannot be ___________________

“We must work the works of Him who sent Me as long as it is day; night is coming when no one can work.” (John 9:4, NASB95)

7.  The Bible teaches that __________ are accountable for your time

“So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God.”
(Romans 14:12, NASB95)

Christ is going to hold you accountable for your words…

“But I tell you that every careless word that people speak, they shall give an accounting for it in the day of judgment.”
(Matthew 12:36, NASB95)

Christ is going to hold you accountable for your talents; Matthew 25

8.  The Bible teaches that time is easily _________________

“The sluggard says, “There is a lion in the road! A lion is in the open square!” As the door turns on its hinges, So does the sluggard on his bed.” (Proverbs 26:13-14, NASB95)

“A little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to rest,” Then your poverty will come as a robber And your want like an armed man.” (Proverbs 24:33-34, NASB95)

9.  The Bible teaches you will value time at ________________

10.  The Bible teaches that time is valued in ________________
