Paul calls the Corinthian Church to be a holy church in a challenging culture.

Title: Grow Up!

Immaturity is when a person still travels in those things that he or she should have already outgrown. (picture embedded) (Dr. Timothy J. Brown)

Introduction

In the text for today, Paul addresses the believers in Corinth as immature Christians because of the way they are behaving. When we leave today, I pray that leave with a new attitude and mindset about Christian maturity. We must GROW UP, and GROW TO!

I. Grow to Spirituality (1-4)

(v 1) spiritual (mature) adj. — of or characterized by the Holy Spirit; especially of the mature, Christian life and its relation to the Spirit.
(v 1) worldly ⇔ fleshy adjs. — characteristic of this world and its attributes and concerns as opposed to the supernatural; conceived of as being composed of flesh.

The enemy does not mind us being uniformed, but not unified.

II. Grow to Servanthood (5-7)

(v 5) attendant ⇔ servant n. — someone who waits on or attends to the needs of another. Each believer has a task/purpose...

III. Grow to Unity (8-10)
