The Prophets
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

The authority of Scripture
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Conclusion
God is not speaking to us in any other means and HE did not promise us that HE will do that in Scripture but by the Scripture, His Son and the Holy Spirit. Let us not continue to ascribe to God what HE has not said or the Holy Spirit or Jesus Christ as many claim to see Him and speak with Him today. He is not giving new and direct revelations other than what is revealed in the Scripture. Understanding of this and teaching it will change the Church and the deceptions of false teachers. For 400 years, God did not speak to Israel.
