Love
Kidz World Today - Children’s Church
This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
Confession of Faith
I am not moved by what I see or by what I feel. I am moved by what I believe. I believe the WORD of God! The victory is mine! I have it now! I can see it through the eyes of my faith!
Love
Love Brings Healing & Love Lives Forever
Jesus is the physical embodiment of Love, so it makes sense that he was also the embodiment of healing!
Everywhere he went, Jesus loved people and he healed using two primary methods: His Words and His Touch
24 Jesus went with him, and all the people followed, crowding around him.
25 A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding.
26 She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse.
27 She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe.
28 For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.”
29 Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition.
30 Jesus realized at once that healing power had gone out from him, so he turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my robe?”
31 His disciples said to him, “Look at this crowd pressing around you. How can you ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”
32 But he kept on looking around to see who had done it.
33 Then the frightened woman, trembling at the realization of what had happened to her, came and fell to her knees in front of him and told him what she had done.
34 And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”
Jesus referred to this woman as daughter to remind her God was not distant from her! She is a part of God’s family!
God is our healer
25 “But you—you serve your God and he’ll bless your food and your water. I’ll get rid of the sickness among you;
17 As for you, I’ll come with healing, curing the incurable, Because they all gave up on you and dismissed you as hopeless— that good-for-nothing Zion.’
14 if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.
19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Love
God has empowered us through love to do the same for each other!
Through love we are charged to bring healing to broken relationships:
Just say nice things to people - especially words of encouragement
Send an encouraging text
Pick up the phone and call
Let people know that you love them - doing this will create tons of healing , spiritual, emotional and physical!
Love Lives Forever
13 And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Faith is designed to keep us in the moment with our focus on God!
Hope is designed to keep us in the moment with our focus on God!
Love is designed to keep us in the moment and also focus on eternity
Here’s what I mean:
I watched a replay of a Chicago Bears game vs the Minnesota Viking! I knew the Bears won the game, but while watching in the moment I was going through the ups and downs of each play! I was nervous and upset, I cheered when the bears scored and was upset when the plays did not go well! It like our life - we know the outcome, which is eternal life - but in the moment are the ups and downs of life!
We have God’s eternal promise of Love that we are victorious through Christ Jesus
We get to celebrate with Jesus and our loved ones forever!
Love is a story with NO ENDING!
Love The Way Jesus Loves
26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
While we are here - in this game of life model the examples of love given to us by God in our day by day relationships
12 This is my command: Love one another the way I loved you.
8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
32 For I have no pleasure in the death of one who dies,” says the Lord God. “Therefore turn and live!”
