WHERE ARE YOU?
WHERE ARE YOU?
Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.
And he said, Who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? And the man said, The woman whom thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I did eat. And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.
And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Unto the woman he said, I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children; and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.
And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field; In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

gen 3:21-
This morning our message features around verse 9
And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou?
the word Genesis means
origin, source, root, beginning, commencement, start, outset.
In this book we find the begining of so much
the beginning of light
the beginning of heaven and earth
the beginning of animals
the beginning of man
the beginning of relationships
the beginning of temptations
the beginning of douwt
the beginning of sin
the beginning of our seperation
In this book we see paradise given and paredise lost
here we see that after all that God had done for his creation satan would be able to bring douwt into the minds of Adam and eve and they would sercome to the temptation and fall into sin and loose all that they had
WHERE ARE YOU ?
WHERE ARE YOU ?
WAS THE QUESTION asked by God when he came into the garden at the end of the day to have communion with adam and eve.
sin is the only thing that can separate us from having communion with God.
last week we saw that sin is transgression or breaking Gods Law.
Paul writing to the romans reminds us that although sin my separate us from having communion with him there is nothing that can seperate us from the love of God
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
there
Rom 8: 31-39
although sin separates us from God his Love which is in Christ Jesus or Lord is able to bridge that Gap and bring us once again into relationship with Him
Through out the ages man has tried to resume thier contact with God on thier terms and has failed.
Take the account in where man tried to build a tower up to God man wants to have that communion with God but sin has separated them

“There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man which cannot be satisfied by any created thing but only by God the Creator, made know through Jesus Christ.”

Religion is not relationship it’s just a habit
Religion is not relationship it’s just a habit
but
A relationship with God is a Good habit to keep
A relationship with God is a Good habit to keep
You can see why there would be so many religions in the world
when we all have our own ways to meet God. Each stating how they can get to there heaven or paradise or navarna. How do i know which is right.
As we read the word of God we see how our God created all things and they were good
its because of our sin that took us away from God but God would bring the solution to bring us back into relationship with him again.
It’s not about what we can do to get close to him but what he has done to bring us close.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
rom
God saw the problem and he sent the answer in the form of Jesus
In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
1 john 4:9
Its not what we can do to bridge the cap that sin caused its all about what he has done
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Not of works, lest any man should boast.
ep
eph 2:9
it because of the grace of God that we are saved
The question still rings out from the voice of God today as in that garden all those centuries ago
where are you?
are you naked and separated from God because of your sin
or are you willing to accept the sacrifice that Jesus offered upon the cross
“The cross shows us the seriousness of our sin—but it also shows us the immeasurable love of God.”
“The cross shows us the seriousness of our sin—but it also shows us the immeasurable love of God.”
we can not do a thing to save our souls so lets stop trying and allow the plan of salvation wrote by God brought by Jesus and applied by the holy spirit do what necessary in our lives to bring back our communion with God
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
because of our faith in Jesus christ and his completed work on calvary
we have Peace with God this word peace here means
εἰρήνη ĕirēnē, i-ray´-nay; prob. from a primary verb εἴρω ĕirō (to join); peace (lit. or fig.); by impl. prosperity:— one, peace, quietness, rest, + set at one again.

to be joined again with God and have all the riches that a son and heir has

+ + (addition denotes a rendering inthe A.V. of one or more Greek words in connectionwith the one under consideration. For example, in , No. 1106, γνώμη (gnōmē) is translated as a verb (“to agree”), when it is actually a noun and a part of a Greek idiom that is literally translated “to do one mind.”
