Introduction
Introduction
We began our Scripture reading this morning, in , which records the words of the Apostle Paul, to the saints (believers, church) in Rome, with great enthusiasm of his desire to come and preach the Gospel (good news) to them.
But wasn’t the gospel just about the message that allows people to be converted, to get saved? Well yes it is that message, but it is not just a message that brings about the New Birth, it is the message the provides New Life, and a New Hope for the future.
Therefore the gospel of grace, must be proclaimed continually to both the lost sinners who sit in darkness, and the redeemed saints who gather for worship and scatter to preach the message of the gospel all over again to the lost.
The Gospel Grace Life!
It is in fact is the most magnificent subject ever spoken about among men. Why?
Because it is the Grace of God toward man that gives us hope for eternal life and help in living in the present life.
The old hymn that we sang this morning really gives grace a great description which say’s simply “Amazing Grace!”
Read Amazing Grace Hymn.
In our primary text in we pick up in the midst of Paul’s admonition and instruction for the life of discipleship for the believer and we learn quite a bit about the Grace of God as Paul reminds Titus just how important and all encompassing the Grace of God is and what it teaches us.
Gospel Grace Saves vs.11
Gospel Grace Saves vs.11
The Grace of God Teaches us about the Eternal Salvation of Men vs.11
Brings Salvation (15);
To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
; ;
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
;
Grace Great Sufficient Enough for All Men and Efficient to All Who Believe
O sing unto the Lord a new song; For he hath done marvellous things: His right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. The Lord hath made known his salvation: His righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.
; ;
That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
;
; ; ;
; ; ;
All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Gospel Grace Sanctifies vs.12
Gospel Grace Sanctifies vs.12
The Grace of God Teaches us about the Lordship of Christ in the Present Life. vs.12
Our New Life in Christ is to be a life of Sanctification (make holy and set apart)
This requires denying ungodliness and denying worldly lust.
From whence come wars and fightings among you? come they not hence, even of your lusts that war in your members? Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts. Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. Do ye think that the scripture saith in vain, The spirit that dwelleth in us lusteth to envy?
Resist the Devil
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
:
We are also supposed to
Live soberly (self-controlled),
Live righteously (upright) and
Live Godly.
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy. And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear: Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
;
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
TODAY, IN THIS PRESENT WORLD.
Gospel Grace Causes us to Savor (Hope) vs.13
Gospel Grace Causes us to Savor (Hope) vs.13
The Grace of God Teaches us to Look Toward Future Grace vs.13
We are to live TODAY in light of Christ Second coming.
When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
I fear that we as Christians do not live on this Earth will real expectation of Future Grace.
For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself.
;
Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
Heirs with Christ
Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him?
Heirs with Christ ;
That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Perfect Sanctification and ultimate Glorification

Gospel Grace Moves us to Surrender & Service vs.14
Gospel Grace Moves us to Surrender & Service vs.14
The Grace of God Teaches us of the Power of a Cross Centered Life vs.14
Christ gave himself on the cross to redeem us from all iniquity.
That means we have been saved from the bondage of sin.
Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, And he shall divide the spoil with the strong; Because he hath poured out his soul unto death: And he was numbered with the transgressors; And he bare the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.
; ;
Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
;
For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Christ purifies for Himself a peculiar people. Peculiar does not mean weird or nutty but a people wholly set apart for God’s Holy purposes.
For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
; ;
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Zealous of Good Works ; As we learned in James, Faith Acts. Faith without works is dead, being alone.
Zealous of Good Works
How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
; As we learned in James, Faith Acts. Faith without works is dead, being alone.
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
As we learned in James, Faith Acts. Faith without works is dead, being alone.

Truly we must Live a Cross Centered Life a life of SURRENDER
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Conclusion
Conclusion
Today, I want to conclude by asking two simply questions.
First, have you embraced the Gospel of the Grace of God personally? Do you know that you have been saved from the wrath of God which is to come for all who reject him?
If not I urge you to repent and believe the gospel of grace this very day.
(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
Second, if you have embraced the gospel of the Grace of God that saves, do you recognize the ongoing work of the Gospel of Grace as you live your life?

If not, stop thinking the gospel of grace was only for your entrance into the family, and embrace it as the life of the follower of Jesus Christ.
