Introduction:
In week one:
The Holy Spirit is a Full member of the Godhead.
The Holy Spirit was promised to us by Jesus.
it was the Holy Spirit that descended on Jesus before His public Ministry.
It was the Holy Spirit that empowered salvation at Pentecost
it is the Holy Spirit that brings Healing to the in-firmed.
In week two:
of course the first thing the Holy Spirit of truth about God and truth about you.
The response Isaiah had when he saw the Lord was a knowledge of his own sin.
This is why people get afraid of the Holy Spirit he is a moving power!
this is why the enemy tries to counterfeit so much of what God does, he cant keep you from getting saved, but he can try to keep ignorant or distracted.
We Check what happens “In the Spirit” against the word of God.
Last Week:
The Holy Spirit is for Every Believer.

John 3:3–8 NKJV
3 Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

people are often scared of or ridicule, things they do not understand.

12 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:
12 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant:

there is a lot of fear behind ignorance in the Church.

1 Corinthians 14:26 NKJV
26 How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification.

This verse tells us that spiritual gifts are for edification

my Spiritual Gifts are under my control

1 Corinthians 14:32 NKJV
32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets.
don’t fear God will make you goofy.

most of what makes people nervous is a lack of maturity in the exercising of the gifts.

26 How is it then, brethren? Whenever you come together, each of you has a psalm, has a teaching, has a tongue, has a revelation, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for edification. 27 If anyone speaks in a tongue, let there be two or at the most three, each in turn, and let one interpret. 28 But if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in church, and let him speak to himself and to God. 29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge. 30 But if anything is revealed to another who sits by, let the first keep silent. 31 For you can all prophesy one by one, that all may learn and all may be encouraged. 32 And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 33 For God is not the author of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
1 Corinthians 14:29 NKJV

The New King James Version. (1982). (). Nashville: Thomas Nelson.
