5 And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.
6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

It's amazing what happens when people get together in unity of purpose!
There are a few things that get Gods attention… Praise, prayer and faith all get Gods attention.
But the things that got Gods attention this time was the incredible feat that was being done by the people that day.
When you read the passage, it’s as though God was actually surprised at what they were accomplishing…
God came down to see what was going on because they were getting the job done.
The single-minded purpose and resolve surprised God!
They were getting the job done with inferior materials.
They were getting the job done with inferior materials.
They were getting the job done with the wrong method...
And they were getting the job done with the wrong motive...
But they were getting the job done!!!
The material was stone and slime.
Their method was to build a tower that would reach into the heavens and be ruled by the heavens (it was a cultism- it was Satanic influenced.)
Built by a rebel named Nimrod!
Mighty hunter and warrior would establish the Babylonian empire.
Ninivah and other great cities
Chose the plains of Shinar because the base of this tower was 100 square miles…
Their motive was to build a name for themselves - and not a name for God!
Even though their was so much wrong…
God had to come down and check it out!
And after checking it all out said in verse 6 they going to accomplish whatever they imagine in their minds to do.
They were not going to be stopped and the reason their not going to be stopped is because the people were as one.
the people were as one.
They had one language.
They had one speech.
They had one purpose.
If wrong motivation, inferior material and satanic influence can get God’s attention…
If an unholy unity can get God’s attention
WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IN HEAVEN IF A GROUP OF PEOPLE IN LINCOLN NEBRASKA WOULD UNIFY AROUND GOD’S PURPOSE, WITH A PROPER MOTIVATION, THE RIGHT MATERIAL AND A GODLY INFLUENCE… WHAT WOULD GOD’S RESPONSE BE?
There were about 3 million people on the earth at this time…
(There is an actual equation based on what the bible says to figure this out.)
3 million people were going to succeed in building this tower…
Worldly, satanic math...
God’s math is different!
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
30 How should one chase a thousand, And two put ten thousand to flight, Except their Rock had sold them, And the Lord had shut them up?
9 For the Lord hath driven out from before you great nations and strong: but as for you, no man hath been able to stand before you unto this day.

How can this be?
God’s math is based on two or three ppl coming together in unity!

5 = 10,000,000 - 10 million
6 = 100,000,000 - 100 million

9 = 100,000,000,000 - 100 billion
10 = 1,000,000,000,000 - 1 trillion
We have the capabilities of changing the world in our church many times over!
, and says that all things are possible through Christ if you only believe!
No wonder the scripture says:
17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; And every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.
What was God’s way of stopping the unity at the Tower of Babel?
Langauges!
We use our voices to unify to good things and bad…
I want you to know He dispersed their languages...He made them start talking all different kinds of languages...
...and the language wasn't re-grouped until there came a sound from Heaven as of a
mighty rushing wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting, and there
appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire and it set upon each of them. And
they were all filled with the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the
Spirit gave them the utterance.
What God dispersed in He brought together with the infilling of the Holy Ghost in Acts chapter 2.
How many of you have talked in tongues around here??
It does not matter that you speak Spanish and I speak English...
What matters is that we speak in tongues!
What matters is that we speak the same message!
That there is one God and Jesus is his name!
That Baptism in Jesus Name will wash away your sins!
That Holy and separated lived unto the Lord is His desire!
When we can come together in one mind
One heart
One message
Nothing else matters!
Almost a year ago
God began to deal w me about a neighborhood.
I would come to a church parking lot and sit in my truck praying.
We won several families out of that neighborhood from outreach there
The meantime I met Pastor Marcel and came to visit him in service
And pulling into this church THE CHURCH THAT FOR MONTHS I SAT IN THE PARKING LOT PRAYING FOR WHAT I DO NOT KNOW!
We've got the same language, so why don't we start talking the same talk
