Recap

Last time we meet, we talked about the first half of verse 1, “James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ. We looked at the transformation that took place within James the half brother of Jesus. How he went from a man that was full of indignation towards Jesus, to a man that was very much in love with Jesus to the point of calling himself a servant or slave of the Lord. We looked at the truth of the Triune God that is weaved within this verse. With James saying he is a servant of both God the Father and Jesus Christ.
This week, God willing we will finish the second half of verse 1 through verse 4.
-Prayer-
(ESV)
Greeting
1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,
To the twelve tribes in the Dispersion:
Greetings.
Testing of Your Faith
2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. 4 And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.
