Introduction
Introduction
Here are some of the most common fears according to a survey
Darkness (10)
Flying (7)
Small spaces or claustrophobia (6)
Bugs (3) (Snakes, rats honorable mention)
Public Speaking (1)
I believe there are some other fears that are more common. They may be even difficult to talk about.
Our health
Our relationships
Our purpose in life
Our jobs
Our eternal destiny
In one sense fear is a good thing. It makes look both ways before we cross the street. If we go camping it lets us know not to let the bears into our tent.
When fear is defined as anxiety, or worry, it becomes sinful. It reeks of doubting God.
Fear is an obstacle to revival. It is a barrier. Why? Because fear is in conflict with faith. How many believe the answer to fear is faith? Well if faith drives out fear, does it not makes sense that fear will drive out faith. They cannot coexists.
This morning we look at facing our fears with faith. We will learn that though our situation be dark, God is light. Though our situation seem impossible, our God can accomplish the impossible.
