“was there with the Lord” Pray that we’d be putting all our trust in the merits and intercession of Jesus Christ.

Also, a sign of true love and friendship is when two people treasure time to be alone to talk together. So it is with the Lord and true believers. They love to hear each other’s voice.

This involves a double grace, not only that we (who were once vile sinners) love (now) to hear the voice of Christ.

And Christ loves to hear our voice. I love what Solomon wrote: "My dove, in the clefts of the rock, in the crevices of the cliff, let me see your face, let me hear your voice; for your voice is sweet, and your face is lovely.” ()

This speaks of intimate friendship, especially of intimate communion in private prayer between Christ and His bride.

Because when you pray, you’re “with the Lord”. May every deep and heart-felt care be trusted with the Lord.

Find joy in prayer in your heart as your heart sings, “When we walk “with the Lord” in the light of His Word [what??] What a glory He sheds on our way!”

. Oh God of our salvation, please hear us and bless Your dear children before we depart.

When we go back out into this world, be near to us! Don’t let us us, “your people” grow careless. Oh Lord, our Savior, please keeps us and keep us safe from every foe.
