Do you know “The Great Commission?”
Disciples = “Disciplined Ones”
matt4.19
In the analogy of a fisherman, we must realize that a fully cleaned and gutted fish has never yet jumped into a boat
Every fish must first be caught.
A fish can ONLY be cleaned & gutted AFTER it has been caught.
A person can only be discipled AFTER they have come into the boat of the church fellowship of believers
We cannot make disciples until we make converts
The process of cleaning and gutting the fish is like the process of conversion
Conversion Is a Process
Acts3:19
The word “Carnal” is ONLY used to describe Christians - not the unsaved
Carnal=The Unregenerate Nature
A carnal Christian is a person who has received Jesus Christ as their Savior, but has not been CONVERTED in their ways to Christ’s ways - they live according to their unregenerate nature but have salvation.
Many times these carnal Christians are called - Hypocrites
Conversion is not simply joining a religious group.
The process of conversion is the process of our ways and our thoughts becoming like Christ’s.
There is no time limit, no social-promotion, and no short cuts to being converted completely.
It is entirely possibly to receive salvation as a young child and die in old age as a carnal Christian - complete conversion is not guaranteed
This was ME! Tell story of actually becoming a Christian!!!
The conversion process needs our cooperation & obedience.
Where are you in the conversion process?
How many of your thoughts and ways have become Christ’s?
Many times, we think that rebellion is doing the opposite of what we are being told to do.
But rebellion can be much more subtle than that
When God
Partial obedience is complete disobedience
Pastor Jackson Senyonga says, “Lord, help me to find myself.
When I find myself, help me to kill myself - so that You can live through me.”
The Next Step: Converts to Disciples
The 7 Commands of Christ:
Love One Another -
Pray for your Enemies -
Repent -
Believe the Jesus is in the Father (Jesus & the Father are unified) -
Take up your cross & Follow Jesus -
Go & Make Disciples -
Pray Always -

Just One Thing:
Let’s personally get converted & discipled so that we can begin to fulfill Jesus’ Great Commission to us!
