1 “Look at my servant, whom I strengthen. He is my chosen one, who pleases me. I have put my Spirit upon him. He will bring justice to the nations. 2 He will not shout or raise his voice in public. 3 He will not crush the weakest reed or put out a flickering candle. He will bring justice to all who have been wronged. 4 He will not falter or lose heart until justice prevails throughout the earth. Even distant lands beyond the sea will wait for his instruction.”
We Need to Praise God for His Mercy (42:1)

The Special Son became the Humblest of Servants
The Special Son became the Humblest of Servants
Many in Christianity today are seeking to move from obscure servants to places of prominence -
God chose to show us Mercy when He sent His Son FIRST TO SEEK AND TO SAVE THAT WHICH WAS LOST… The Master who became the SERVANT
The Eternal Relationship - My Elect One...
The Eternal Relationship - My Elect One...
Why would God choose to invite us, as sinful, sorrowful, stupid sheep into the PERFECT ETERNAL RELATIONSHIP HE ENJOYS WITH THE SON???
The Son Enabled as God’s Emissary to Bring Justice to the Gentiles
The Son Enabled as God’s Emissary to Bring Justice to the Gentiles
All of this was for the purpose of bringing Justice, which is equity and truth to the Gentiles
Have we ever given thanks to the Father for the Divine plan that Placed His Son into midst of suffering and made Him a partaker of the vilest of deaths – all in order that we might be made as Paul declares in
16 For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. 17 And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.

His example of Quiet, Yet Firm Declaration of God’s Truth (42:2) –

Not concerned with marches, rallies, the public forum, only with living and teaching the Truth of God
Matthew 11:29-30
29 “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 “For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”
Prince of Glory though He Is, yet as He walked this earth it was not with all the pomp and circumstance of a self-exalted Prince, but with all the humility of the lowliest of servants. All this to fulfill the Scriptures (see Matt 12:17-21) and so that the Exaltation of the Son might await the careful timing of the Father…
Are we so willingly humble and patient with God’s will for our lives?
His example of Caring for the Weak (42:3a)
His example of Caring for the Weak (42:3a)
(not destroying a crushed reed) – Christ cares for the lives that are crushed and broken, “…come unto me all ye that laboar and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest…”
How carefully He moved and ministered so that even the most fragile of lives was tenderly touched and strengthened!
Do we follow His example?
Do we carefully tend the broken and crushed hearts and lives of our fellow man?
Do we offer that same eternal rest?
Do we even care how callously and carelessly we have moved within the body of Christ?
His example of Nurturing the Needy (42:3b)
His example of Nurturing the Needy (42:3b)
(“smoking flax he shall not quench”) – Flax is the wick of a candle… The spirit that is dying, the person whose flame is fast flickering out can be nurtured and saved from being extinguished by the comforting Truth of Jesus Christ!
How many are the spirits of those we meet that are like a candle on verge of being extinguished?
How fearful for us it would be to have revealed how often we have quenched and snuffed out the hopes of others…
Have we considered how easy it is to bring one to the light of Jesus Christ and allow His glory and grace fan to life the last dying embers of hope in so many a weary heart?
We Should Pay Attention to His Purpose (42:4)
We Should Pay Attention to His Purpose (42:4)
4 He will not falter or lose heart until justice prevails throughout the earth. Even distant lands beyond the sea will wait for his instruction.” 5 God, the Lord, created the heavens and stretched them out. He created the earth and everything in it. He gives breath to everyone, life to everyone who walks the earth. And it is he who says, 6 “I, the Lord, have called you to demonstrate my righteousness. I will take you by the hand and guard you, and I will give you to my people, Israel, as a symbol of my covenant with them. And you will be a light to guide the nations. 7 You will open the eyes of the blind. You will free the captives from prison, releasing those who sit in dark dungeons.
