            1. Hear the Word 1:1

            2. Know my need - 1:2

            3. Obey His voice - 1:3; 3:2-3

            4. Realize that the Lord will deal with us - 1:4

            5. Know my decisions effects others - 1:8-10

            6. Pray - 2:1

            7. Repent - 2:4

            8. Thanksgiving & Praise - 2:9

            9. Believe - 4:2




Nineveh

♦ Royal city of King Sennacherib (704-681 BC)

            ♦ Sacked (612 BC) by the Medes

            ♦ Spared judgment for 100 years

            ♦ Assyria's pride (Isa. 10:5-19).

♦ Built on the left bank of the river Tigris, along which it stretched for some 30 miles, having an average breadth of 10 miles or more from the river back toward the eastern hills.

♦ Ruled for more than six hundred years with hideous tyranny and violence

            ♦ 4:11 – POP 600,000 if 120,000 are children = 20%

            ♦ Judgment – Blotting out – Abandonment

               - Destruction 3:4; Fierce anger 3:9

            ♦ Nahum & Zeph 2:13-15 Judgment on Nineveh
