Coming to the end of this segment of the sermon series, we must ask what we are to do with what we’ve learned

Saved by grace through faith
Created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do
Live a life worthy of the calling you have received
Grow to become in every respect the mature body of Christ
Now we need to live into those lessons

Is to Make a Beginning
While Lent is usually known as a time of giving something up, that’s really only half of the story
I wanted to get out ahead of this before Ash Wednesday
The goal of Lent is to model the “put off/put on” of & 5
When you put off chocolate, what are you putting in its place?
Agonizing over chocolate?
Worthless things - to what end?
Are we going to put down your phone to pick up engagement with God & the world around us?
Relationship with work - not just for pre-retirement folks!
We all work, but through the fall it has become toil and drudgery.
Are we going to seek to redeem our work, to bring God intentions for worth and meaning and relationship back into them?
Relationship with anger - perhaps something that touched you was the relationship with emotions.
Anger was central to Paul’s example.
