v1 - rage, think of a meeting where leaders have gotten together and they are all furious at something someone just did, to the point of no control, in their words or actions

v2 - set themselves, sense, to take a defensive fighting postion

take counsel, conspire or plot to rise up in a planned rebellion

anointed, messiah, christ in greek

v3 - burst and apart are the same word in hebrew, sense is tot destroy

v8 - heritage, inheritance, possession word, what you get form others

fear, reverance and respect, deeply and profoundly, not scared

rejoice, to express great joy

trembling comes from knowing who god is and his awesome power, not based off of fear

v12 - kiss the son, dont really know how to say it in english, and not to sure exactly what it means, but the best interpretations are kiss the son as a sign of respect

angry, do you want god mad at you? thank god for the cross, indication of the old covenant, nad that the old covenant is dead and fulfilled

and you perish in your conduct

overall thoughts

seems mean on gods part

to the letter of the law he is right

in actual what jesus did,

instead of destroying them, he died for them

imagine yourself a jew, grew up thinking, messiah would destroy, but instead died, totally different shift in perception

then paul tells us that jesus is the invisible image of the invisible god, god the father, and gods true heart for people is not to see their destruction but to see their salvation, people try and explain this away,

in the context its clear god is laughing at how bad their plans are put together compared to his, and how they will never succeed against him,
