THE PROBLEM OF BITTERNESS

Bitterness will keep you in bondage.

Exodus 1:14 KJV 1900
And they made their lives bitter with hard bondage, in morter, and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field: all their service, wherein they made them serve, was with rigour.

The object of your bitterness is never more miserable than you.

Bitterness comes from a bad place

James 3:14–15 KJV 1900
But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish.

It does not come from God

-God is never going to say “Yep, I’m good with you being bitter about that. Go for it!”

It is the way of the lost world

It is the response of the flesh

It’s source is the devil

Bitterness will not only trouble you, but will impact others as well

Hebrews 12:15 KJV 1900
Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;
