What is the most dangerous thing in the world? What do you believe is the most potent or wreckless agent in existence?
Some would say its a fart.
Others would say its a nuclear bomb or some type of military warfare.
But in reality, the most reckless or potent force is a Christ centred and directed human being.
If everything in this life is done in preparation for the next stage, then anything that is done outside of the necessary preparation is insignificant. If we live this stage of life as an audition for the main show of eternity, then it is very important we realize that we are the most dangerous and important character or thing in existence.
As we are immensely valuable to God.
Luke 12 NRSV
1 Meanwhile, when the crowd gathered by the thousands, so that they trampled on one another, he began to speak first to his disciples, “Beware of the yeast of the Pharisees, that is, their hypocrisy. 2 Nothing is covered up that will not be uncovered, and nothing secret that will not become known. 3 Therefore whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be proclaimed from the housetops. 4 “I tell you, my friends, do not fear those who kill the body, and after that can do nothing more. 5 But I will warn you whom to fear: fear him who, after he has killed, has authority to cast into hell. Yes, I tell you, fear him! 6 Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten in God’s sight. 7 But even the hairs of your head are all counted. Do not be afraid; you are of more value than many sparrows. 8 “And I tell you, everyone who acknowledges me before others, the Son of Man also will acknowledge before the angels of God; 9 but whoever denies me before others will be denied before the angels of God. 10 And everyone who speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven; but whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven. 11 When they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, do not worry about how you are to defend yourselves or what you are to say; 12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that very hour what you ought to say.” 13 Someone in the crowd said to him, “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the family inheritance with me.” 14 But he said to him, “Friend, who set me to be a judge or arbitrator over you?” 15 And he said to them, “Take care! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of possessions.” 16 Then he told them a parable: “The land of a rich man produced abundantly. 17 And he thought to himself, ‘What should I do, for I have no place to store my crops?’ 18 Then he said, ‘I will do this: I will pull down my barns and build larger ones, and there I will store all my grain and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, you have ample goods laid up for many years; relax, eat, drink, be merry.’ 20 But God said to him, ‘You fool! This very night your life is being demanded of you. And the things you have prepared, whose will they be?’ 21 So it is with those who store up treasures for themselves but are not rich toward God.” 22 He said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or about your body, what you will wear. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! 25 And can any of you by worrying add a single hour to your span of life? 26 If then you are not able to do so small a thing as that, why do you worry about the rest? 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not clothed like one of these. 28 But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will he clothe you—you of little faith! 29 And do not keep striving for what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not keep worrying. 30 For it is the nations of the world that strive after all these things, and your Father knows that you need them. 31 Instead, strive for his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well. 32 “Do not be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell your possessions, and give alms. Make purses for yourselves that do not wear out, an unfailing treasure in heaven, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. 34 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 35 “Be dressed for action and have your lamps lit; 36 be like those who are waiting for their master to return from the wedding banquet, so that they may open the door for him as soon as he comes and knocks. 37 Blessed are those slaves whom the master finds alert when he comes; truly I tell you, he will fasten his belt and have them sit down to eat, and he will come and serve them. 38 If he comes during the middle of the night, or near dawn, and finds them so, blessed are those slaves. 39 “But know this: if the owner of the house had known at what hour the thief was coming, he would not have let his house be broken into. 40 You also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an unexpected hour.” 41 Peter said, “Lord, are you telling this parable for us or for everyone?” 42 And the Lord said, “Who then is the faithful and prudent manager whom his master will put in charge of his slaves, to give them their allowance of food at the proper time? 43 Blessed is that slave whom his master will find at work when he arrives. 44 Truly I tell you, he will put that one in charge of all his possessions. 45 But if that slave says to himself, ‘My master is delayed in coming,’ and if he begins to beat the other slaves, men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk, 46 the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour that he does not know, and will cut him in pieces, and put him with the unfaithful. 47 That slave who knew what his master wanted, but did not prepare himself or do what was wanted, will receive a severe beating. 48 But the one who did not know and did what deserved a beating will receive a light beating. From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and from the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded. 49 “I came to bring fire to the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! 50 I have a baptism with which to be baptized, and what stress I am under until it is completed! 51 Do you think that I have come to bring peace to the earth? No, I tell you, but rather division! 52 From now on five in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three; 53 they will be divided: father against son and son against father, mother against daughter and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law.” 54 He also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you immediately say, ‘It is going to rain’; and so it happens. 55 And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, ‘There will be scorching heat’; and it happens. 56 You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky, but why do you not know how to interpret the present time? 57 “And why do you not judge for yourselves what is right? 58 Thus, when you go with your accuser before a magistrate, on the way make an effort to settle the case, or you may be dragged before the judge, and the judge hand you over to the officer, and the officer throw you in prison. 59 I tell you, you will never get out until you have paid the very last penny.”
Luke 12
1 Peter 2:
1 Peter 2:9 ESV
9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
Just think, out of everything created, you are for God’s own possession. Out of all the beautiful mountains and the vast seas whose both heights and depths are unfathomable, out of all the wonderful animals and creatures that are incredible in their own nature, out of all the variety of fish and water mamals, the birds of the air, every type of tree and flower, God created you for His own possession. That is incredible.
Luke 12:22–27 ESV
22 And he said to his disciples, “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat, nor about your body, what you will put on. 23 For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing. 24 Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds! 25 And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life? 26 If then you are not able to do as small a thing as that, why are you anxious about the rest? 27 Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
luke 12:22-
This is the bottom line, the Lord has more worth in us then any other thing in existence.

Here’s Why Satan Attacks

When we have so much intrinsic worth, we are susceptible to being attacked.
Going to the states for trips, always see billboards with Amber alert. Why? Children are important and worth everything to most parents, so thats why people abduct and attack children.
The children don’t deserve it, they don’t ask for it, it is purely the outcome of being extremely valuable to someone else who has the ability to change something. An abducter believes that the parent of the child can send money and the kidnapper will become rich and find a way to send the child back.
Or the kidnapper wants to get revenge on a parent and goes after the only thing that the parent loves more than anything. They will take the child and the rest is to hard to talk about.
Well Satan is all about revenge and its all because of his pride.
Isaiah 14:12–14 NRSV
12 How you are fallen from heaven, O Day Star, son of Dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, you who laid the nations low! 13 You said in your heart, “I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit on the mount of assembly on the heights of Zaphon; 14 I will ascend to the tops of the clouds, I will make myself like the Most High.”
Isaiah 14:15 NRSV
15 But you are brought down to Sheol, to the depths of the Pit.
Ezekiel 28:11-
Ezekiel 28:11–16 NRSV
11 Moreover the word of the Lord came to me: 12 Mortal, raise a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord God: You were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, carnelian, chrysolite, and moonstone, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald; and worked in gold were your settings and your engravings. On the day that you were created they were prepared. 14 With an anointed cherub as guardian I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God; you walked among the stones of fire. 15 You were blameless in your ways from the day that you were created, until iniquity was found in you. 16 In the abundance of your trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned; so I cast you as a profane thing from the mountain of God, and the guardian cherub drove you out from among the stones of fire.
Lucifer was the highest Angel and most beautiful. He was regarded as blameless and anointed. Then pride and sin entered into his heart and God sent him into the earth and into hell. So then, because Satan has a vendetta against God, he is trying to get back at God.
Satan knows that God is untouchable. Even to the point where he thought he could hurt God by killing Jesus but it was apart of God’s plan all along and even Jesus solidified Satan’s destiny by making a way for humans to be righteous with God.
So then the devil has to find a way to get back at God, and guess what, Satan knows the scriptures and he knows the worth that God has placed in you and I. Lucifer will get to God by attacking God’s people. Kidnapping, attacking, beating, killing, hurting, binding, trapping, whatever you can think of, that is what satan is trying to do to God’s most prized possessions.
So when someone becomes addicted, or sick, or dies its not because God is judging or God caused it, its a spiritual attack directly from the Devil.
The best way to cause pain is to prolong suffering. If the devil took people out quickly it shortens suffering and it doesn’t cause as much pain. But the slow fade is the devil’s approach. He starts with one drink, one smoke, one line, one girlfriend or boyfriend, one person to hurt someone one time, and it snowballs from there. Satan’s primary objective is to Kill Steal and Destroy but to do it slowly.
Why kill a father when a breakup will ruin a family for generations?
Why kill a young woman, when addictions will impact everyone in the family?
Why kill a little girl when molestation will destroy her future?
The devil is all about suffering, stealing futures, and eventually killing them to take them from God for eternity.
So when I see people suffering or hurting, instead of thinking that it was all because of personal choices, to a degree I understand that, but it all started out with a spiritual battle that resulted in the person becoming prey to the devil.

What is our defence?

How do we defend ourselves from these attacks? As long as people are living they are a target. For we are all created by God and loved unconditionally by him. So people will always be targets by the devil to try and destroy. So what do we have to do in defence?
So how do we defend ourselves from these attacks? As long as people are living they are a target. For we are all created by God and loved unconditionally by him.
PRAY. Prayer is our first line of defence. It gives us the ability to discern, the ability to continue through the storm, and the ability to see God’s faithfulness through it all. Prayer isnt something to turn to once the battle has been lost. Prayer is the preparation to anything, it comes before everything, and gives us the assurance that God still cares and understands.
Trust. We need to trust in God. We need to see that God is who He says He is. Read the word and trust in God’s ways for He is unable to fail. Trusting in His promises means that you don’t become a god over your own situation, that you don’t take matters into your own hands and fool something up that God has in store. “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
OBEY. Obedience will lead you to still waters. When we obey the commands of the Lord we find ourselves at peace. It may be difficult at times, it may cause you to make hard choices, but God is always right. When you obey God, it causes alignment in this world and the heavens. It causes heaven to come to earth and that leads to restoration, power, and promise. We need to obey. Train a up a child. It doesn’t say your child, it says a child. After you got your kids raised, start training up other children. Its time to obey church.
Pray, Trust, obey is your defence. God is our defender, but times the enemy is all around but God is greater.
There is a song, This is how I fight my battles. It is just 2 lines in the whole song.
It may look like I’m surrounded, but I’m surrounded by You.
This is How I fight my battles.
Thats it. But by the praising of God from our hearts and realizing God is greater, is praying (praising), trusting, obeying.

Conclusion

You need to be praying, interceding for your family for defence.
You need to be trusting God for your family.
You need to be obeying God when it comes to your family.
And then you will see the attacks of the enemy begin to dissipate. The amber alerts will diminish because we know we are surrounded by the most High God, The Loving heavenly father.
