Empty Love

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

Speak in Tongues is a phenomenon in which people speak in languages unknown to them.

One definition used by linguists is the fluid vocalizing of speech-like syllables that lack any readily comprehended meaning, in some cases as part of religious practice in which it is believed to be a divine language unknown to the speaker.

Charity=Love

is not an emotional response to beauty, merit, or kindness, but a moral attitude dedicated to another’s good, whether or not that other is lovable, worthy, or responsive

If you speak with out Love to show the purpose it means nothing.

It’s like making noise to make noise.

An eminent preacher once said to him: "I wish you would explain to me something."

"Well, what is it?

I don't know that I can explain anything to a preacher."

"What is the reason for the difference between you and me?

You are appearing before crowds night after night with fiction, and the crowds come wherever you go.

I am preaching the essential and unchangeable truth, and I am not getting any crowd at all." Macready's answer was this: "This is quite simple.

I can tell you the difference between us.

I present my fiction as though it were truth; you present your truth as though it were fiction."

Knowing not Love

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

The practical power of the will elevated by faith [NEANDER]; confidence in God that the miraculous result will surely follow the exercise of the will at the secret impulse of His Spirit.

Without “love” prophecy, knowledge, and faith, are not what they seem

Prophecy is a message that is claimed by a prophet to have been communicated to them by a god.

Such messages typically involve inspiration, interpretation, or revelation of divine will concerning the prophet's social world and events to come

Mystery.

Counsel, or secret plan, which God shares only with his people.

In most biblical passages it relates to the wise counsel of God in his guidance of history to its destiny.
