This is a story about a conversation between God and an angel. It goes like this.
“When God created woman he was working late on the 6th day…
An angel came by and asked.” Why spend so much time on her?”
“When God created woman he was working late on the 6th day…
An angel came by and asked.” Why spend so much time on her?”
The Lord answered. “Have you seen all the specifications I have to meet to shape her?”
She must function in all kinds of situations,
She must be able to embrace several kids at the same time, have a hug that can heal anything from a bruised knee to a broken heart, She must do all this with only two hands, she cures herself when sick and can work 18 hours a day”.

THE ANGEL was impressed “Just two hands… impossible! And this is the standard model?”
2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
THE ANGEL was impressed “Just two hands… impossible! And this is the standard model?” The Angel came closer and touched the woman, “But you have made her so soft, Lord”.
“She is soft”, said the Lord, “But I have made her strong. You can’t imagine what she can endure and overcome.”
The Angel came closer and touched the woman
“But you have made her so soft, Lord”.
“She is soft”, said the Lord, “But I have made her strong. You can’t imagine what she can endure and overcome.”
“Can she think?” The Angel asked…
“Can she think?” The Angel asked…
The Lord answered. “Not only can she think, she can reason and negotiate.”
The Angel touched her cheeks… “Lord, it seems this creation is leaking! You have put too many burdens on her”.
The Angel touched her cheeks….
“Lord, it seems this creation is leaking! You have put too many burdens on her”
“She is not leaking…it is a tear” The Lord corrected the Angel…
“What’s it for?” Asked the Angel….. .
The Lord said. “Tears are her way of expressing her grief, her doubts, her love, her loneliness, her suffering and her pride.”…
This made a big impression on the Angel,
“Lord, you are a genius. You thought of everything.
A woman is indeed marvellous” the Lord said.”Indeed she is.
She has strength that amazes a man.
She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens.
She holds happiness, love and opinions.
She smiles when she feels like screaming.
She sings when she feels like crying, cries when happy and laughs when afraid.
She fights for what she believes in.
Her love is unconditional.
Her heart is broken when a next-of-kin or a friend dies but she finds strength to get on with life”
The Angel asked: “So she is a perfect being?”
The Lord replied: “No. She has just one drawback, she often forgets what she is worth.”
“She is not leaking…it is a tear” The Lord corrected the Angel…
“What’s it for?” Asked the Angel…

March is Women’s History Month and we have some great examples of womanhood to look back and forward at. Today’s women are activists, scientists, inventors, poets, authors, doctors, nurses, lawyers, and soldiers.
They serve as presidents of corporations; they are CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CPAs, and have DBAs. They manage, supervise and organize households, they coordinate their children’s and their husband’s schedules. They are teachers and quality control inspectors as they help with and review the children’s homework. Women carry and birth life, and most, not all, but most, find that they are natural nurturers.
The Angel asked: “So she is a perfect being?”
They step in and step up when no one else will, yet there are situations and countries where women are still treated as second class citizens, they’re put in the back seat behind men who are less qualified, less prepared and less informed about the task at hand.
Now men don’t run away, or tune me out, this is not a male bashing sermon, it’s just one to help women realize their worth. And if you hear something you agree with, an amen would be nice and an occasional sure you right would be appreciated.
The Lord replied: “No. She has just one drawback, she often forgets what she is worth.”
The fact of the matter is, ladies, we can be anything we see, except a man, and we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. Yes, that verse meant us too.

We see in the Scripture, woman comes on the scene just days after the world was created, she was made from the rib of man and she was given the title woman and also identified as female. The man and woman were created to be one, you will hear that at a wedding ceremony, and it comes from the tenth chapter of Mark where it says, “...from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.”
— And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife;
An Angel came by and asked, ‘Why spend so much time on her?’
Now this doesn’t mean, they will always agree, it doesn’t mean they will always have the same opinion, it doesn’t mean they will always want to go in the same direction. What it does mean though, is that while a husband and wife may disagree, they put love above all else, they recognize they are one and as one they must pray together, talk about it, whatever it is, and let the Lord be their guide.
They step in and step up when no one else will, yet there are situations and countries where women are still treated as second class citizens, they’re put in the back seat behind men who are less qualified, less prepared and less informed about the task at hand.

We see in the Scripture, God put Adam in a deep sleep when he performed the surgical procedure of creating woman. God didn’t want, nor did he need any input from Adam on what he was about to do. It is God who made us and not we ourselves. Adam didn’t even get to watch, so it was a complete surprise when he woke up and saw this beautiful person standing before him. The woman was taken from the man’s side to show that she was of the same substance as the man and to underscore the unity of the human family, having one source.

Adam recognizes she is a part of him and we know this from his reaction when he sees her, he exclaims, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; this one shall be called Woman, for out of Man this one was taken.” Woman has now completed the garden. Ladies, God saved the best for last.
Up until now, Adam had been busy naming all the things God had spoken into existence and when he had finished, he found himself alone with nothing and no one that fit him. So, when God brought the woman to Adam, he immediately recognized that she was one of his own kind, she was like him and he was happy.
Gentlemen, when you find that woman you know is just right for you, aren’t you happy about it? Do you tell others about her? Maybe you tell your best friend or your mom or dad or both. When you find something or someone good, most of the time you want to tell others about your good fortune. That feeling’s not new, Adam saw a fine woman, made just for him and he told God, his father and friend. Remember at this point Adam walked with God and conversed with Him face to face.
Ladies, do you want to be that woman that makes him excited? Not by how much skin you show, or how flirtatious you are, or how promiscuous you are. The woman he calls home to mom and dad about, is the one who is confident and assured of herself, who knows who she is, with or without a mate, the one who is already whole, not looking to be made whole, that is assuming he is already whole also. This woman is secure in her faith, she recognizes she’s complete in Christ, that He is her source, her help and her strength. She is a woman that knows she doesn’t need a man, but she wants one to partner with, to love, honor and cherish and who will love, honor and cherish her.
This was not meant to be a sermon for a hook up, yet it is one for set up.

• He’ll set you up for success
• He’ll set you up for companionship
• He’ll set you up for friendship

• He’ll set you up for marriage
God will set you up, He has a plan and a purpose for your life, all you have to do is follow the plan. It’s a perfect plan. All of these things have different requirements, one person is not going to be all of them for or to you and to attempt to make one person all of that is a recipe for failure. God is the only one who can be your everything.
• He is the Alpha and Omega
• The beginning and the ending
• He’s Abba Father

• He’s Adonai - The God who is in charge
• He’s El Elyon - the Most High God
• He’s El Roi - the God who sees - He stands ready to come and rescue you when you get in trouble or just don’t know which way to go
• He’s El Shaddai - the Almighty God, there’s nothing and no one greater
• He’s Elohim - the Creator of heaven and earth and all that’s in them

• He’s Jehovah Shalom - He’ll speak peace to your storm
• He’s Yaweh - the God who is always there
• He’ll make a way out of no way
• He’ll be your bridge over troubled water
What is it you need God to do, who is it you need God to be in your life? Well I’m here to tell you, He said, I Am that I Am. Which means whatever you need, God is.
God is, my everything; God is my everything
This was not meant to be a sermon for a hook up, yet it is one for set up.
He’s my joy in sorrow, he’s my hope for tomorrow
He’s my rock in a weary land, a shelter in the time of storm
God is, my everything
He is Jehovah Jireh, my provider — he provided a way back to Him through His Son Jesus. The sin in the Garden of Eden severed the ties to God. You see before sin, God walked in the garden with Adam and Eve, but when sin came in God had to go, He cannot stay in the presence of sin. He will pull you out, if you let him, but be assured He will not jump in with you, the waters of sin is not fine.
Women of God…
God will set you up
Do you know whose you are? Are you claiming Him?
Do you know who you are? Are you walking like it?
Do you know the power you have? Are you exercising it?
He’ll set you up for ministry
Do you know that God loves you? Or are you looking for love in all the wrong places?
Do you know that you were part of God’s majestic plan and that when he made you it was the completion of creation? Or are you walking around like people are doing you a favor by allowing you to be in the same room with them?
Woman of God, do you know your worth? Man of God do you know your purpose? We were all created to bring enjoyment to God, to live for His pleasure. When you fully understand this truth, when you can get this in your spirit, when you can know it deep down in your soul…you will never again have a problem with feeling insignificant, instead—you will know your worth.
He’ll set you up for success
• Jesus thought you were worth dying for and he did.
• He could have called ten thousand angels to come get him off that cross—but he didn’t.
• He could have just spoken some words and killed those who sought to kill him—but he didn’t
• He could have simply gone back to his Father and not suffered the shame and the pain and the death of the cross—but he didn’t.
He choose to endure it all to save us from whatever sin, from whatever situation, from whatever trouble, from whatever sickness we might find ourselves in or with.
He’ll set you up for companionship
When Jesus took the scourging it meant something. He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
When they put the crown of thorns on his head it meant something. We must watch the thoughts we allow to come to our minds.
When they nailed him to that cross it meant something. He had taken on the sins of the world and they were being nailed to the cross there to stay forever. What are you doing with your sin? Repent, put it on the cross and leave it there.
He’ll set you up for friendship
When they raised him up from the ground, it meant something. He said if I be lifted up from the earth, I’ll draw all men unto me.
He’ll set you up for relationship
When the sun refused to shine, it meant something. Even God’s creation understood the significance of what was happening.
When Jesus said, “Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit” and gave up the ghost, it meant something. He gave his life freely, no one took it from him.
He’ll set you up for marriage
When they put him in a borrowed tomb, it meant something. He wasn’t going to need it long, but he had something to do before he came back. He had told them he’d be gone for three days.
When he didn’t resurrect right away, it meant something. He went to snatch the keys to death, hell and the grave, so even in death, Satan has no authority in your life, when you belong to God.
When he ascended back to the Father, it meant something. He left us the Comforter, in the person of the Holy Spirit, to reside in us, if you invite him in.
Everything God did, everything Jesus did and everything the Holy Spirit does means something. What you do means something, the choices you make, the things you do, the words you say, the places you go…it all means something.
Don’t ever think what you do or don’t do, doesn’t matter. You are important to God, you are important to the Kingdom of God, you are important to Love Christian Center, you are important to your brothers and sisters in Christ and finally know this—only what you do for Christ will last. “Don’t store up treasures here on earth, where moths eat them and rust destroys them, and where thieves break in and steal. Store your treasures in heaven, where moths and rust cannot destroy, and thieves do not break in and steal. Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be. God treasures you, you are the desire of his heart and He’s made a home for you in heaven, will you accept the key and take up residence?
God will set you up, He has a plan and a purpose for your life, all you have to do is follow the plan. It’s a perfect plan. All of these things have different requirements, one person is not going to be all of them for or to you and to attempt to make one person all of that is a recipe for failure. Do you know your worth?

Ladies do you know your worth?
Gentlemen do you know your worth?
The beginning and the ending
He’s Abba Father
God did and He gave his only begotten Son to die for our sins, because greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for a friend—and Jesus did.
He’s Adonai - The God who is in charge
He’s El Elyon - the Most High God
He’s El Roi - the God who sees - He stands ready to come and rescue you when you get in trouble or just don’t know which way to go

Jesus gave his life for you, will you give yours back to him? The doors of the church are open.
