Will Pleasure Satisfy?

Ecclesiastes 2:1–3 AV
I said in mine heart, Go to now, I will prove thee with mirth, therefore enjoy pleasure: and, behold, this also is vanity. I said of laughter, It is mad: and of mirth, What doeth it? I sought in mine heart to give myself unto wine, yet acquainting mine heart with wisdom; and to lay hold on folly, till I might see what was that good for the sons of men, which they should do under the heaven all the days of their life.
Ecclesiastes 2:1-3
Introduction:
Last week I introduced our series with a quote from a show I had watched that described our culture today:
“Vanity Fair is a world where everyone is striving for what is not worth having”
This series of messages is designed for you to consider what life is like without God.
“A life without God is meaningless”
This morning as we look at the question, “will pleasure satisfy?” can be answered by looking at the pleasures of life with God or without Him? True pleasure can only be satisfying with God

1 Timothy 6:17–19 AV
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate; Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
Believe in riches or God
Do good with what gives to you
Rich man- warning on coveteouness
Luke 12:16–21 AV
And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
God is the provider to those who please Him with that which is good, wisdom, knowledge and joy
Hebrews 11:6 AV
But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
