Introduction

Illustration: Pronounced “DOR-ah muh-LAH-jay), meaning “adored ones,” an all-female military group that protects the King and the fictional nation of Wakanda- are perhaps the most obvious example of female strength.
The Dora Milaje are fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are a team of women who serve as special forces for the fictional African nation of Wakanda.
But the strong women of Black Panther are more than just a potential inspiration to women in the audience today. They’re also a window into a true, if oft-forgotten, piece of history.
The Dora Milaje share similarities with the Dahomey Amazons, the all-female military regiment of the Kingdom of Dahomey,[1] which was located in West Africa in what is now the Republic of Benin.

Transition To Body

But you don’t need a movie to show or tell you that!
And many of us in here today know that our lives have been touched, impacted in a significant way by the hands of a woman...
The Virtuous woman

The Woman Who Fears the LORD

10  An excellent wife who can find?

She is far more precious than jewels.

11  The heart of her husband trusts in her,

and he will have no lack of gain.

12  She does him good, and not harm,

all the days of her life.

They kept on moving like Soul II Soul

Body- A Servant Of The LORD Who Is

Judges 4:1–3 ESV
And the people of Israel again did what was evil in the sight of the Lord after Ehud died. And the Lord sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who reigned in Hazor. The commander of his army was Sisera, who lived in Harosheth-hagoyim. Then the people of Israel cried out to the Lord for help, for he had 900 chariots of iron and he oppressed the people of Israel cruelly for twenty years.
Judges 4:4 ESV
Now Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lappidoth, was judging Israel at that time.

A Woman

What remains as noticeable today as in 2005, however, is that much of the impetus for change has come from governments and regulators and, apart from notable efforts of groups like the 30% Club in the United Kingdom or the 30% Coalition in the United States, not from shareholders directly. This is odd, because shareholders are the owners of the company; one might expect they should have the strongest interest in the benefits of more diverse boards.
The Big Four (Deloitte, Ernst & Young (EY), KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC)) are the four biggest professional services networks in the world, offering audit, assurance services, taxation, management consulting, advisory, actuarial, corporate finance and legal services. They handle the vast majority of audits for public companies as well as many private companies.

A Mediator

Now Deborah:
a prophetess- female who speaks or proclaims the message of a deity
Judges: A Commentary Tales of Deborah and Jael, Warrior Women (Judges 4:1–24)

Deborah is a prophet, that is, one capable of mediating between God and human beings, and is perceived as having gifts of divination and charisma.

A Leader

of the WORD (of God’s people including the men)
Judging Israel

Leads charismatically with and through the Word of God

She sent and summoned Barak the son of Abinoam from Kedesh-naphtali and said to him, “Has not the Lord, the God of Israel, commanded you, ‘Go, gather your men at Mount Tabor, taking 10,000 from the people of Naphtali and the people of Zebulun.

And she said, “I will surely go with you. Nevertheless, the road on which you are going will not lead to your glory, for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman.” Then Deborah arose and went with Barak to Kedesh.

A great man realizes his own inadequacy when called by the Lord to some great task, but the divine call is never alone, it is accompanied by the divine provision.

2 Corinthians 3:5–6 ESV
Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
2 Corinthians 3:4–6 ESV
Such is the confidence that we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, who has made us sufficient to be ministers of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
Yes you deserve to be here today, but make no mistake about it, you did not earn a right to be here at 61 Winthrop Street this Sunday morning, it is by the grace of God.
2 Corinthians 3:
2 Corinthians 12:9 ESV
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
1 Corinthians 1:26–31 ESV
For consider your calling, brothers: not many of you were wise according to worldly standards, not many were powerful, not many were of noble birth. But God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise; God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong; God chose what is low and despised in the world, even things that are not, to bring to nothing things that are, so that no human being might boast in the presence of God. And because of him you are in Christ Jesus, who became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

A Co-laborer

Judges 4:9–10 ESV

Nevertheless, the road on which you are going will not lead to your glory, for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hand of a woman.” Then Deborah arose and went with Barak to Kedesh. And Barak called out Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh. And 10,000 men went up at his heels, and Deborah went up with him.
