In 2 Corinthians 3, Paul lays out the foundation of his ministry: God's glory. While God's glory has been present since Moses received the law on Mt Sinai, that ministry of Israel's was but a ministry of death, bringing only condemnation through the very law that was received in glory. Paul's ministry, however, is one of life, for that is what we have received through Jesus - not condemnation, but instead righteousness in his death. Not temporary, but instead permanent in his resurrection. And so, the new ministry is even more glorious, and is increasing in glory day-by-day, as the Spirit which brings us to faith continue to transform us into images of God, causing us to glorify him more and more.
