Revelation 2:23–26 KJV 1900
23 And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works. 24 But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden. 25 But that which ye have already hold fast till I come. 26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations:
Hold Fast: krateo = to use strength, seize, restrain, lay hand on, obtain by force, retain by force, take
There are some things that we must be willing to do whatever is necessary to Hold Fast to!
God spoke these two words to me this afternoon and I put them in my bible program and was shocked at how many times this phrase was mentioned in the bible...
We are told to Hold Fast to:
our faith without wavering (tree times)
good
our profession (that which is professed)
traditions
righteousness
confidence
sound words
mercy
judgement
testimony
service to Him
commandments
covenants
His name
instruction
things recieved
ordinances
Hebrews 10:21–23 KJV 1900
21 And having an high priest over the house of God; 22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. 23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Profession: that which is professed
Hebrews 3:13–14 KJV 1900
13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. 14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;
Unshakable confidence!
In what?
What we have been taught!
Proverbs 4:13 KJV 1900
13 Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: Keep her; for she is thy life.
2 Timothy 1:12–13 KJV 1900
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
Told to hold fast to the covenant
Isaiah 56:4 (KJV 1900)
4 For thus saith the Lord unto the eunuchs that keep my sabbaths,
And choose the things that please me,
And take hold of my covenant;
Revelation 2:13 KJV 1900
13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan’s seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
2 Thessalonians 2:15 KJV 1900
15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.
Revelation 3:2–3 KJV 1900
2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee.
1 Thessalonians 5:21 KJV 1900
21 Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.
42 different times in one for or the other, we are told to hold fast to things...

We are to hold tight, to use strength, seize, restrain, lay hand on, obtain by force, retain by force, take
The problem: the enemy has to loosen your grip on what is important…
Get you to question teaching, instruction, sound words, ordinances, goodness, righteousness, every promise you have ever recieved comes into question..
So how do we make sure our grip is tight...
2 Corinthians 2:11 KJV 1900
11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.
The enemy has many tools in his arsenal...
This morning in prayer God began to deal with me about a spirit of fear...
Two Fold Spirit of Fear
Blunt weapon
Poison
Posing as wisdom, common sense , weariness
Hebrews 6:18–19 KJV 1900
18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;
Revelation 3:11 KJV 1900
11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
