You Love Me Anyway
Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And
this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
Eph 2:1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins
Isa 9:2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great
light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon
them hath the light shined.,
Eph 4:19 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated
from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them,
because of the blindness of their heart.
John describes it like this:
1Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world—the desires of the
flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not
from the Father but is from the world.
I want to stress the seriousness of flaunting the Laws of God.
Rev 21:8 and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that
burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."
Exo 20:7 "You shall not take the name of the LORD your God
in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his
name in vain.
NEVER TAKE YOUR SIN LIGHTLY
Eph 2:2 in which you once walked, following the course of this
world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit
that is now at work in the sons of disobedience—
Eph 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
[places].
Eph 2:3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our
flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and
were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.
Psa 51:5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did
my mother conceive me.
Mat 23:33 "You serpents, you brood of vipers, how are you to
escape being sentenced to hell?
Eph 2:4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great
love with which he loved us,
BUT GOD
Luk 23:33 And when they came to the place that is called The Skull,
there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on his right and one on
his left.
Luk 23:34 And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not
what they do.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.
Luk 23:42 And he said, “Jesus, remember me
when you come into your kingdom.”
Luk 23:43 And he said to him, “Truly, I say to
you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”
We give Him no reason to love us. This is Grace. Receiving
that which we don’t deserve.
Eph 2:5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us
alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
Eph 2:6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in
the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Eph 2:7 so that in the coming ages he might show the
immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in
Christ Jesus.
The riches of His grace: CHS “So is it with the grace of
God: he has as much grace as you want, and he has a
great deal more than that. The Lord has as much grace as
a whole universe will require, but he has vastly more. He
overflows: all the demands that can ever be made on the
grace of’ God will never impoverish him, or even diminish
his store of mercy; there will remain an incalculably
precious mine of mercy as fall as when he first began to
bless the sons of men.” (Spurgeon)
Eph 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And
this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
Eph 2:9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand,
that we should walk in them.
Jam 2:18 But someone will say, "You have faith and I have
works." Show me your faith apart from your works, and I
will show you my faith by my works.
Adolphe Monod, on his deathbed, said:" Sin has two divisions;
the evil that we have done and the good that we have left
undone. As to the first, there is not a single command that I
have not transgressed in letter or spirit; as to the second, it
weighs on me even more than the first."
